A mother from Oklahoma City is claiming that her one-year-old daughter contracted herpes from her preschool teacher. According to Oklahoma's News Channel 4, Consuela Smith says her daughter came home from Childtime daycare with blisters and sores on her mouth. When she took her to the doctor she was informed that her little girl had herpes simplex type one. "She started getting blisters all around her mouth and bleeding," she said. "They told me that she had herpes." After she heard the devastating news she called the daycare and found out they were aware that one of their employees had herpes. The corporate office of Childtime released a statement on the incident. "Our children's well-being is of the utmost importance to us. We have strict policies and procedures to ensure we meet or exceed regulatory guidelines on health and safety. We take every precaution to prevent the spread of germs or illness, and investigate any reported concerns." Smith i

Ever the chameleon, Chris Brown is changing up his looks yet again. The "Fine China" singer debuted a more relaxed curled look on Instagram, which had fans guessing if he got a perm. The pop star wore his new 'do parted on the side in the photo captioned, "Taking it back to the 30s! Lol!" Aside from changing up his look, Chris has been putting in serious work in the studio, where he's been seen with Drake, Justin Bieber, and Akon. A family from San Diego is mourning the loss of their 14-year-old son after he committed suicide over a video that went viral of him masturbating in a school bathroom. According to the LA Times, Timothy and Barbara Burdette are suing the San Diego Unified School District for $1 million dollars for their son's death. The family claims that the video, and constant taunting and bullying from his classmates lead their son to kill himself. They also claimed that the school's administrators did nothing to prevent the bullying. Matthew Burdette committed suicide in November during his Thanksgiving Break. In his note, the teen says he couldn't handle school and didn't have any friends. The school district released a statement following the claim. "At San Diego Unified, the safety and well-being of our students is a top priority," the statement said. The USPS may not have gone forward with its plans to kill Saturday mail delivery, but  Netflix  isn't waiting. A  few customers have noticed  it's no longer processing shipments on Saturdays, opting for a five day schedule instead. Company spokesman Joris Evers tells Engadget that it's been transitioning in that direction over the past year and ended Saturday processing (usually a low volume day) entirely  in early June. Longtime subscribers may remember that originally Netflix was a five day operation, and it only shipped or received DVDs and Blu-ray discs on the weekend over the past five years. These days, most of us are streaming so with all those options there's less pressure to get an item in the mail, but of course not everyone is happy. Unkind Internet users have long compared Iggy Azalea to the characters on the movie "White Chicks," and Marlon Wayans decided to share his thoughts on the matter. Love and Hip Hop Atlanta continued to bring the drama last night. Stevie J and Benzino's fiancee, Althea, haven't seen eye to eye since she revealed to Zino her sexual past with his good friend. Monday night, things got heated on Twitter when Stevie posted a semi-nude photo of Althea. Their argument began early Tuesday morning on Twitter when Stevie J posted a photo of Althea performing oral sex on an unidentified man. "Lettuce anyone?" the producer captioned the photo. Althea responded by saying the photo was her and Benzino. "that's me and Zino what u want tickets???" she said. It has been a long process but LeBron James finally uttered the words that the Cleveland Cavaliers desperately wanted to hear back in 2010: 'I'm Coming Home.'  King James revealed he had selected the Cleveland Cavaliers via an essay published to  Sports Illustrated . A much more modest and humble reveal than his 2010 special, 'The Decision' which aired on ESPN.  "My relationship with Northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball, I didn't realize that four years ago. Historically, Verizon's not often the first carrier in the US to announce availability for a new phone. In the case of LG's latest flagship smartphone,  the G3 , it's actually the last. But good things come to those who wait -- and are willing to sign two-year contracts: Big Red's version of the G3 will go for $99 when you sign the dotted line. This is $100 less than  AT&T's on-contract price. Pre-orders start today and will ship out on July 17th. Rolling Stone is reporting that Jay Z has signed on to take part in the annual Global Poverty Project as a headliner for the 2014 Global Citizen Festival taking place in New York's Central Park in September.  Here's what Hov had to say about how he plans to help end extreme poverty by the year 2030: "I'm joining the 2014 Global Citizen Festival because I believe through actions, whether it be by raising awareness, getting involved or educating ourselves, the goal to end extreme poverty by 2030 is possible." The festival will also feature performances by the legendary Roots crew, Carrie Underwood, and No Doubt, among others. Dave Chappelle recently opened up to People magazine after closing out the last night of his highly successful Radio City shows, and revealed why he left The Chappelle Show. While he's long said it was over money and clashes with creativity, the famed comedian revealed that his family was more of a priority.  "I never stopped being onstage. What I did was step off of the main stage. That kind of attention wouldn't have been conducive to raising a family."  Dave has been married to his wife Elaine for 13 years, and the couple have three children together, sons Sulayman and Ibrahim, and daughter Sonal. He also spoke about how it felt strange to not be doing comedy, which has been a constant in his life since he was a kid.  "The audience-comedian relationship is one of the more consistent relationships in my life. I started doing this at such a young age, that not doing it was alien." Chapelle added that being back on stage "Has been a healing experience.

Netflix and Verizon have been  playing the blame game for months , and  despite an April agreement  to alleviate the situation customers are still seeing low-res streams and buffering screens (the FCC  says  it's investigating). Today, Verizon  published its own blog post  to "dispel the Congestion Myth" with some data that showing why Netflix is responsible for the hangups. Comcast also  put the blame on Netflix  a few months ago, but Verizon has an infographic. Basically, it says that while the connections Netflix is using are overloaded there are other ways to access its network that are wide open, but Netflix just isn't choosing to take advantage of them. Netflix  pointed the finger right back  in a statement to Engadget (included in full after the break), citing Verizon's failure to upgrade the connections so users can take advantage of the bandwidth they're paying for. Well this is one way to truly ruin your appetite.  A man by the name of Steven Henderson posted an alarming tweet of a dead rat stuffed inside of a Chop't sandwich that his colleague ordered on his lunch break.  The rat wrap was ordered from the Chop't location at 80 Pine Street in lower Manhattan, which has maintained an "A" health inspection rating since the fall of last year.  Following the spread of the #RatWrap2014 trend on Twitter, the owner of the Chop't store, Tony Shure, shut down that location for the day in order for the establishment to undergo a "deep clean."   According to an eyewitness who works with the person who unfortunately received the #RatWrap, "My colleague ordered from Seamless and it was delivered to our office.  Nobody on the receiving end saw the wrap being prepared."   Chop't also addressed the matter on their website after conducting a thorough inspection of their store.  Their statement reads:  "Although n

Cleveland’s greatest sports legend would have no problem with LeBron James returning to the city, but believes he only should under one condition. Jim Brown, the hall of fame Browns running back, believes James only should re-sign with the Cavaliers if owner Dan Gilbert makes a public apology. Gilbert criticized James in a scathing latter he wrote after James bolted from the Cavaliers to the Miami Heat in 2010. “The only way I would say that (James should return) is if he and Mr. Gilbert came to some greater understanding because I did not like the way that Mr. Gilbert portrayed him,’’ Brown said in a phone interview Monday with the Pioneer Press. “(For James to return), there’s got to be a public apology made by the owner. Russell Neal, a singer from the '90s group Hi-Five, is now in police custody after he told police that his wife was dead inside their apartment. According to TMZ, Neal requested a lawyer after revealing the tragic news in-person at the police station.  He reportedly told officers that he and his wife got into an argument on Wednesday night and then asked for a lawyer without releasing any more information. His lawyer, Chris Brown, told TMZ that "We are aware of the situation and are presently evaluating it." Hi-Five scored two big hits in the '90s with "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)" and "She's Playing Hard to Get." As part of a three night, six-hour documentary series National Geographic will dedicate a portion of the show to examine the death of Hip Hop legend Tupac Shakur. The documentary, titled, "The 90s: The Last Great Decade?" will feature interviews with everyone from Arsenio Hall to Gobi Rahimi, director of Tupac's "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted". Both Arsenio Hall and Rahimi express on the documentary that Pac's murder should have been solved by now. The 90s: The Last Great Decade? will air on the National Geographic channel from July 6th to July 8th at 9pm EST.

During Carmelo Anthony's journey through the seas of free-agency, the Houston Rockets went the extra mile to make him feel at home to entice him to join their organization.  The only problem with their attempts to win over Carmelo, however, was that it came at the expense of Rockets star Jeremy Lin.   Lin, who previously played with Carmelo during his time with the Knicks franchise, wears No. 7 on his jersey, which is Carmelo's current number.  While creating banner images of what Carmelo would look like wearing a Rockets jersey, they gave him Lin's No. 7, instead of creating a new number for the NBA star.  The Rockets hung a huge banner of Carmelo wearing the No. 7 jersey on the front of the Toyota Center, and also added the image of Carmelo holding a championship trophy along with the words, "The key to a championship formula," on the Rockets' locker room wall.  Many fans took note of this obvious shade, and shared their thoughts on the matter on Twitter.  L

The month of July had a very dramatic start for Michael Strahan, when a 25-year-old homeless man sought him out at the ABC "Good Morning America" studios on a mission to kill the former football star.  The suspect in the murder attempt, Andre Johnson, walked to the entrance of the ABC studios and demanded that security let him inside; however, he didn't specify that he wanted to kill Michael Strahan at the time. According to a police source: "The suspect went to the entrance of ABC studios and demanded that security let him into the studio. He was denied entrance, at which time he showed a knife. He [then] attempted to stab a security guard." The source also added that Mr. Johnson admitted that "he was there to kill Michael Strahan" to police after his arrest, but "when he displayed the knife he did not say that," initially to the security on duty at the time.  Mr. Johnson still remains behind bars, and has been charged with menacing, crimina

Investigators say an Orlando barbershop was being run as an after-hours strip club. Agents raided the Slow Fades barbershop at in Orlando over the weekend and arrested the owner, 43-year-old Derrick Price. Investigators say Price had nude dancers inside the shop and was also selling alcohol without a license. Price, who faces multiple charges, posted bond and was released from jail. Katt Williams is back in the news for wild behavior, only this time, he allegedly threatened someone with a gun.  Cops stormed the West Hollywood Comedy Store after Kat allegedly drew a gun on a man who was making fun of his race and height.  Even though Kat was not on stage, he took offense to the comments and according to an eyewitness, he "went crazy" and threatened the man with a firearm.   The police who arrived on the scene were ready for a firefight, as they already had their pistols, shotguns, and bean bag guns drawn as they waited outside of the club for any possible violent altercation.  Their attempts to diffuse the situation, however, were futile because Kat had already left the venue.  There have been no warrants issued for the comedian's arrest thus far. Burger King has revealed their ode to the LGBT community with The Proud Whooper. According to the USA Today, the burger is no different from the regular Whopper, but features a special rainbow wrapper with the message "We are all the same inside" in the packaging. Fernando Machado, senior vice president of global management at Burger King announced that a commercial will launch on YouTube this morning featuring the burger. So far, the brand served The Proud Whooper in Market Street, San Francisco. The area was the center for the 44th annual San Francisco Pride Celebration & Parade last weekend. "It showcases who we are as a brand," Machado said. "It shows how we, as a brand, believe in self-expression." Sales from the burger will go to The Burger King McLamore Foundation, a special program for LGBT teens. Samsung has revealed the smaller-sized update to its latest  flagship smartphone : the Galaxy S5 mini. While it's often expected that the company will scrimp on sensors to save on price, the S5 mini includes many of the same features as its sibling, including waterproof certification, power-saving modes, a heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner and support for Samsung's wearables.  As expected , there's also a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.4, 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 64) and 1.5GB of RAM, which match what  we've seen in years past . The display is a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED panel, which is powered by a 2,100mAh battery, with the cameras enjoying in 8- and 2.1-megapixel resolutions. The company expects the S5 mini to go on sale in Russia from "early July," but there's no word on when it'll spread to other countries. During this week's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim and Kris go through a lot of racial turmoil while traveling to Vienna. According to the Huffington Post, the reality star was harassed by a man in a blackface pretending to be her then-fiance, Kanye West. Kim ended up being the butt of a racial joke by the comedian during a live interview. As Kim retells the story to Khloe, she shares that the worst part of the trip was the flight back to the states. "Mom had the baby, I fell asleep, I woke up to this woman screaming, 'Kanye West's baby!' The woman is screaming at my child, I jump up," she said. The woman then screamed about Kim having a biracial child, and teased her about her infamous sextape with Ray J. "This lady stood up in the cabin in first class and yelled at the top of her lungs, 'She's with a black guy, and that baby is black! And you need to shut that black baby up!'" Kris added. If you've wanted to use the PlayStation 4's (arguably superior) DualShock 4 controller with a PS3, you've so far had to  plug it in ; that's not easy if your couch and TV are at opposite ends of the living room. It's a good thing, then, that Sony has  quietly enabled  wireless support for the newer DualShock through its latest PS3 firmware update. It's still treated as a generic controller without motion or vibration, and game compatibility is somewhat spotty, but it's now relatively safe to ditch the USB cable while playing.
