Nick Gordon, the husband of Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina, was arrested on a suspected DUI, officials in Roswell, Georgia are reporting.  Gordon is more than lucky to walk away from the incident with no major injuries as he lost control of his BMW on Thursday morning (August 28), hit the curb, knocked over a fire hydrant and flipped over.  When police hit the scene they found out Gordon was driving on a suspended licensee and deemed his behavior probable cause to lock him up for driving under the influence of alchohol.  Police didn't conduct a breathalyzer test at the scene, but are seeking a warrant for a blood test.  Source:  TMZ

Suge Knight may really be invincible.  Just days after being shot multiple times at a Chris Brown-hosted pre-VMA party at L.A.'s 1 OAK nightclub, the former Death Row Records head honcho has been released from medical care.  TMZ reports that the mogul left Cedars-Sinai hospital around 6 in the morning on August 27th and, according to doctors, won't need rehab or physical therapy.  In typical Suge Knight fashion, he is continuing to refuse to cooperate with the police investigation into the shooting that took place last weekend.  Source:  TMZ

In a rare new interview with the New York Times, Andre 3000 of Outkast says his role in the new Jimi Hendrix biopic saved him from depression.  "Honestly, I needed it in my life, too. Hendrix kind of saved me. I was in a not-so-great space, just in a dark place every day," 3 Stacks revealed. "I needed something to focus on to get me out of my depression and rut. Sometimes, when you're alone, you can let yourself go. Michelle talked at length about her  rift with former friend Elle Varner,  saying they are no longer cool for a few different reasons, one being Elle's decision to get a little too friendly with Philly MC Meek Mill knowing she had a crush on him. In preparation for his new project "The Album About Nothing," Wale's looking for a fresh start on the business side of things and has decided to part ways with his management company of five years, Roc Nation. Roc Nation clients are split between management and the actual label, with Melanie Fiona, Meek Mill and Skylar Diggins all being managed by the Roc, while J. Cole, Rita Ora, Jay Electronica and Rihanna are all a part of the label. Going forward, Wale will be managed by 77 North, who also have a hand in managing LeBron James. The split is reportedly amicable and has more to do with Wale expanding his career than a particular incident where Roc Nation dropped the ball. Karrueche's recent joke about Blue Ivy on "106 & Park" sent the BeyHive into a frenzy as they quickly proceeded to check her for the infraction and even  launched a petition  to have her deported. BET has since apologized for the joke, accepting responsibility for writing it and asking Karrueche to deliver the punchline taking shots at Blue Ivy's hair. It seems, however, that "106 & Park" is now coincidentally going on hiatus. Could this be the BeyHive at work? Most likely not, as host Shad "Bow Wow" Moss had this to tweet. "Relax.... Nick Young and his curvaceous rapping girlfriend Iggy Azalea sure did have some fun at this year's MTV Video Music Awards show.  The loving couple was photographed together on the red carpet and sitting side by side throughout the event; however, there was a picture taken from the night that most fans probably didn't see. Nick uploaded a photo of Iggy happily sitting on his lap gazing down on him as he positioned his mouth right over her right breast as if he was going to take a huge bite out of her cleavage.  The picture only remained on Nick's Instagram profile for a short period before he deleted it. A rather odd lawsuit has been filed against Marlon Wayans by a man named Pierre Daniel, who worked a small role in "A Haunted House 2".  Mr. Daniel is essentially suing Marlon for cyber bullying over a September picture that Marlon posted online of a side-by-side image of Pierre, next to the cartoon character Cleveland Brown.  The caption for the picture read, "Tell me this ni**a don't look like ... THIS NI**A!!! Ol Cleveland Brown as* lookin." Regardless of if there is any resemblance or not, Mr. Daniel was hurt by Marlon's post and believes that what Marlon did was a form of cyber bullying.  He also claims that the comparison was racially charged, and Marlon's mockery has caused him serious "shock, pain, discomfort and/or anxiety," and also caused irreparable damages to his acting career.  Both Marlon and the production company behind "A Haunted House 2" are included in the lawsuit for an unspecified financial sum.   Marlon has yet

Lil Wayne is one proud daddy, always showing off his kids on Instagram, bragging about them on Twitter and even letting them hit the stage with him at concerts and award shows. It seems, however, that Weezy may have kept one in hiding, at least that's what's being alleged by a New Orleans woman who claims the YMCMB head honcho has a 12-year-old son he's been keeping on the low, and she's ready to prove he's the daddy. Keiotia Brown filed documents in Miami court earlier this month against Lil Wayne in an attempt to establish paternity and obtain court ordered child support payments from Weezy F. Baby. This is the second time the Brown family has hit Weezy with paper work, the first time being when he was locked up at Rikers Island in NYC. The child's grandmother, Brenda Ann Brown, filed docs in an attempt to get the rapper to submit to a DNA test, which the judge pushed back until his release from prison and it assumingly was never brought up again, until now. While Nick Cannon and Mariah have chosen to remain silent about their divorce, Nick's father, James Cannon, spoke to PageSix about their split, and how he believes that they could've been a "power couple" like Jay Z and Beyonce had they decided to put more effort into their union.  He made sure to shut down any rumors of their separation being because of Nick cheating on Mariah.   "Were temptations ever there with other women?" Beyonce and Jay Z's personal life was flipped upside down after a video surfaced of the singer's sister Solange hitting her brother-in-law inside an elevator. According to Page Six, the power couple weren't quite ready to be seen with Solange at Sunday night's MTV VMAs, where the "Bad Girls" singer was purposefully seated away from her family.  Sources told the publication that Beyonce's sister wasn't allowed "anywhere near Jay and Bey" during the show, and added that they went home straight after the awards show while other celebs were out partying.  Source:  Page Six

After a year of highs and lows, T.I. is ready to release his upcoming album, Paperwork: The Motion Picture . According to Billboard, the "No Mediocre" rapper will release the album on October 21. Back in April, Tip explained that the album will be a new venture for him as he works in between the lines of "trap music and art house." Burger King announced that it has reached a deal to buy Canadian doughnut chain Tim Hortons and base itself in Canada, a controversial transaction that might cut its U.S. tax bill. The deal could be the latest example of a U.S. company buying a foreign company in order to move its legal home to that of the company it is acquiring, thus allowing it to pay corporate taxes at a lower rate. Burger King was quick to point out that Canada is where it will have the most outlets once the deal is complete. But Burger King's announcement does not mention any tax implications of its purchase of Tim Hortons. At least one other company that bought a foreign rival, drugstore chain Walgreens, will continue to pay corporate taxes as a U.S. company despite its deal to buy European drug store chain Alliance Boots. Young Jeezy is currently behind bars for possession of an assault rifle ... and TMZ has learned the weapon turned up during the investigation into the deadly shooting at Wiz Khalifa's concert Friday night. We're told Irvine PD executed a search warrant on the rapper's tour bus Sunday at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in connection with the shooting in Mountain View, CA ...  where a man died after being shot 5 times. Jeezy is on tour with Wiz ... and law enforcement sources tell us during the search cops found an assault rifle they believe belongs to Jeezy. A pair of Virginia parents went the extra mile when they recently found their 13-year-old daughter sending nude photos to her classmates.  After discovering a number of nude photos and explicit messages on their daughter's cell phone and tablet, the parents not only took away her electronics -- they called the police.  When Sheriffs investigated they discovered that a number of the boys she was sexting with were high school seniors around the ages of 17 and 18.  Was this a good call on the parents part? Former Death Row head honcho Marion "Suge" Knight was reportedly shot twice in the early hours of August 24th inside a Los Angeles 1 OAK nightclub where singer Chris Brown was hosting a pre-MTV VMA party.  Details are sketchy, but  TMZ  reports that around 1:30 am 4 shots were fired inside the club. A one-minute video obtained by the site shows a man resembling Knight being carried out on a stretcher.  Those close to Knight and TMZ have confirmed that the wounds are nonfatal and that former record executive was undergoing surgery.  Other stars in attendance included Tyson Beckford, who retweeted early TMZ reports about the shooting, and apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas.  This isn't Suge's first run in with Pre-VMA misfortune: the imposing figure was stabbed at a Kanye West's party in 2005.  We'll have updates on Suge's condition as they come to light.  Source:  MTV

Co-creator of the highly popular "ALS Ice Bucket Challenge" movement, Corey Griffin, tragically passed away over the weekend of August 16th-17th, at the young age of 27.  The way he died might come off as a bit eerie to some people, considering the fact that he gained notoriety from dumping buckets of ice water on himself in an attempt to raise awareness and gain donations to help find ways to combat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's Disease.  Griffin co-created the Ice Bucket Challenge after his close friend Pete Frates was diagnosed with the horrible disease. Griffin was pronounced dead at 3 a.m. after diving from the "Juice Guys" building located at 44 Straight Wharf, in Nantucket, Massachusetts around 2 a.m.  His friend Pete Frates spoke out about Corey's passing on Facebook. While divorce rumors continue to swirl around Jay Z and Beyonce, sources say there is another celebrity couple that our headed toward a split -- Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey.  The New York Post's Page Six is reporting that Carey and Cannon, who got married back in 2008, aren't living together and that Carey has hired security to ensure that the Wild N' Out star, who she suspects of cheating, doesn't talk to other women.  Word is that Cannon has moved out of their home and is staying in hotels.  In July, the couple sold their Bel-Air mansion for more than $10 million, reportedly so they could raise thier twins in New York City where Carey owns a Tribeca estate.    Source:  PageSix

It consists of the company's $199 heart monitor  (also available in an integrated iPhone 5/5s case, shown above) which attaches to an Android or iOS smartphone and rests on your fingers or chest to record your electrocardiogram (ECG). It then sends the info to your smartphone via an ultrasonic signal which is picked up by your phone's microphone, requiring much less power than a Bluetooth system. While Apple hasn't  formally  announced the iPhone 6 yet, there's few surer signs of an impending new model than  a fire-sale  to clear out  existing stock . How's $0.97 sound for an  iPhone 5c  in that case? For the next 90 days then, Walmart has your ticket and is discounting the colorful 16GB handset by just over $28. Cupertino's same-size current flagship is dipping in price for the next three months too, but the end result doesn't sound anywhere near as dramatic. The  iPhone 5s  is now $20 less expensive, going from $99 to $79. All of these prices are with a two year contract through AT&T, Sprint, US Cellular and Verizon. McDonald's  is taking on a  new strategy  to get us to eat more of its artery cloggers -- one that involves ramping up its digital efforts. Golden Arches has just hired its first ever U.S. vice president of digital (former Ticketmaster exec Julia Vander Ploeg) and, at the same time, posted a bunch of relevant  job opportunities . By the looks of it, the company wants to form a team of professionals under Vander Ploeg to be able to reach its goals, including offering "a variety of digital music and entertainment experiences" (as stated in its posting for a product director for music and entertainment) to its patrons. McDonald's is also looking for people to improve its mobile website, develop games and, more importantly, release a global mobile ordering app that customers can use anywhere they are. We're only a few weeks away from the NFL opening game of the 2014 season, but the league already has their sights on the Super Bowl, and it's possible performers for the halftime show. According to The Wall Street Journal, the NFL has named Rihanna, Katy Perry and Coldplay as the three front-runners for the headlining spot at the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. Artists that are being considered for the high-profile gig will have to deal with a special twist from the NFL if they want to perform. For the first time ever the league is asking the artists to pay if they want to play during the half-time show. NFL is asking artists "to contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league, or if they would make some other type of financial contribution, in exchange for the halftime gig." While Gucci Mane has a trusted team behind him that's kept his name alive in the streets with the release of several projects this summer, it appears that the man himself won't be hitting any stages or studios any time soon, as the ATL rapper has just been sentenced to 39 months in federal prison on a firearms conviction stemming from two incidents in September of last year. As Gucci, whose government name is Radric Davis, has already served 11 months, that brings his sentence down to just over two years with 28 months. Gucci has also requested that he be transferred to a prison on the West Coast in an effort to cut ties with negative Atlanta influences and seek drug treatment during his stay in prison. T-Mobile has lately enticed families by giving them a big, 10GB bucket of mobile data at a relatively low $100 rate, but Sprint isn't about to take this competition laying down. Big Yellow has just unveiled a Family Share Pack  promotion  that lets you split a minimum of 20GB of data (and unlimited voice/text) for a relatively modest $100 per month, plus $15 per line. You're almost certainly getting more than that, too. Sprint throws in another 2GB for every line, so a family of four will have 28GB to play with. If you max out the plan with 10 people, that's a pretty hefty 40GB. You won't get the carrier's signature unlimited data, but this may eliminate worries that Snapchat-happy kids will chew up all your bandwidth. Of course, there are gotchas that may make it tough to take advantage of this seemingly sweet offer. Nevertheless, Sony is seizing this opportunity by releasing a new Cyber-shot camera that not only looks like a perfume bottle, but its big lens -- encased in a clear brick with a gold accent -- can also be flipped around to suit your needs. Brandon Jennings really stirred up a huge debate among basketball fans when he took to Twitter to announce his beliefs that Kobe Bryant is the true G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) over Michael Jordan.  MJ is always in everyone's debate over who the greatest player is, while Kobe's name often falls close behind his in contention with LeBron James as well.  Many fans were shocked that Brandon would have the nerve to put Kobe ahead of Michael Jordan, but Brandon was not afraid to defend his views to the many people who disagreed with him.
