Perhaps after weeks of hearing speculation thatApple will unveil its next-generation iPhones on September 9th, today's news is anti-climatic. Still,  Apple has just made the September 9th date official by sending out invitations to the event, which will be held in San Francisco. The new iPhone models, presumably named the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus, will be unveiled to the public exactly one year to the day that the current models were introduced. The new iPhones are expected to be constructed with Series 7000 aluminum. This material, used on aircraft, is being employed by Apple to prevent the bending that marred the release of the iPhone 6 Plus last year. We also should see the new handsets offer Force Touch. This feature, already found on the Apple Watch, allows the display to differentiate between a regular tap and a harder tap. Jason Alexander Young of Cedartown, Georgia, has just been arrested for having sexual relations with seven women and not revealing his positive HIV status. According to Lt. Glenn Daniel, the 34-year-old was charged with seven counts of reckless conduct by an HIV-infected person. "He has approached his victims through various social media outlets, and we want to see if there are any other victims out there," Daniel told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Investigators believe there are possibly more victims in the area, especially since he pled guilty to a similar crime in October 2011 in Aiken County, South Carolina. Young served 16 months in prison after being charged with two counts of intentional exposure to HIV and was released in March 2013. Authorities are urging anyone who has been sexually involved with Jason to step forward. Young is currently being held without bond.  Source: AJC

Derrick Rose is being sued by an ex-girlfriend who claims the Chicago Bulls superstar drugged and raped her with two of his friends, according to documents obtained by TMZ.   The woman, known only as Jane Doe, says she dated Rose from 2011 to 2013, and in that time the famed basketball star pressured her to engage in various sexual acts. Doe says the Bulls star asked her to have group sex with strangers, masturbate in front of him, and she says Rose also asked her to have sex with her friends.  The woman claims that in August 2013, she was invited to Rose's Beverly Hills house by the famed athlete and his two friends, Ryan Allen and Randall Hampton, who is also the Bulls star's manager. Doe claims they slipped a drug in her drink with intent to rape her, but she left with a friend before anything could happen as Rose's home.  The woman claims Rose later broke into her home with his two friends, and she says that she remembers flashes of the athlete and his friends gang r

Gilbert Arenas was recently the subject of rumors that he fathered "Basketball Wives" star Draya Michele's son, but the former NBA player disputed the claims on Instagram.  The famed athlete told his followers that he was instrumental in helping Draya start her career on Basketball Wives after he gave her money to move to Los Angeles, but he denies fathering her child. He explained that there were strings attached to the deal, and Gilbert asked Draya to not mention his name on Basketball Wives.  Vladtv

Former on-air personality, Bryce Williams, has succumbed to his self-inflicted injuries following this morning's high-profile shooting. Williams - born Vester Lee Flanagan II -recorded himself opening fire on 24-year old reporter. Alison Parker, 27-year old cameraman, Adam Ward, and a third victim named Vicki Gardner this morning at 6.45 a.m. According to several sources, Bryce targeted his former WDBJ7 coworkers after being fired a couple of years back from the news station. "Two years ago, we had to separate him from the company. We did understand that he was still living in the area," WDBJ General Manager Jeff Marks told CNN. Bryce had previously made claims via Facebook and Twitter regarding racist encounters with his colleagues, including the slain Parker. Ward and Parker died on the scene as Gardner was taken to a nearby hospital - she's currently listed in stable condition.       The D.O.C. has ghostwritten for the likes of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg after his own rap career was cut short after his vocal chords were crushed in a 1989 car accident that was covered in "Straight Outta Compton." After putting out only one album, No One Can Do It Better, it seems that The D.O.C. could make a return to music after gaining back his voice.  After a recent appearance on Sirius XM's "From The Press Box to Press Row," The D.O.C. started interacting with curious fans on Twitter. He then revealed that he got his voice back after spending time in jail in 2010 for a third drinking and driving offense.  He wrote, "It came back on its own. Had it almost a year. Rock Band is rising from the dead this fall, and as such we're starting to get finer details about different prices and packages for the forthcoming game. Unfortunately for Xbox One owners, the "disc-only" version of Rock Band 4will cost $79.99, $20 more than the PlayStation 4 version. Harmonix confirmed that's because the Xbox version will come bundled with a legacy adapter that'll let buyers use their old instruments with the new game and hardware. PS4 owners won't need that -- the existing USB adapter that PlayStation owners have always used with Rock Band will continue to work just fine. If you're new to the series and buying one of the bundles that includes instruments as well as the game, though, the pricing will be identical: $249.99 will get you a mic, guitar, drum set, and the game regardless of which platform you're playing on. Weather apps are quite handy, and now Yahoo's mobile software is even more helpful. The app will send you an alert 15 minutes before rain or snow is expected to start so you have enough time to prepare. The new feature offers warnings similar to Dark Sky's weather info. That app takes readings from the barometric sensors in users' iPhones, though. What's more, Yahoo says its Weather software is more accurate too, with the ability to zoom in on small areas should the need arise. You know Samsung isn't afraid to taunt Apple with ads. But now, in the name of marketing, the South Korean company is introducing a program that aims to lure users away from the iPhone. With Ultimate Test Drive, Samsung's giving owners of Apple's smartphone the chance to try its new Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, at no cost and for 30 days. Samsung says the devices will include a data plan and be compatible with any US carrier, though right now it's unclear what customers are expected to use as collateral. NYPD sergeant Joel Doseau, committed suicide by asphyxiating himself with a bag amid claims that he raped a 15-year-old girl. The 43-year-old sergeant killed himself at his parent's Canarsie, Brooklyn home after being freed on $100,000 bond from his August 5 arrest.  A 40-count indictment revealed that Doseau had an ongoing sexual relationship with the 15-year-old, who is now a woman in her early 20s. According to the NY Daily News, the girl sent Doseau nude photographs after he lied to her about being more than twice her age.  Court papers reveal that the two engaged in sexual intercourse several times, which included oral sex that was initiated "without such person's consent." The total number of women accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault is now hovering around 50 after two new women stepped forward this week.  Charlotte Fox, who was a 23-year-old aspiring actress when she met Cosby on set of "Uptown Saturday Night," says that the famed comedian took her to the Playboy mansion where he drugged and assaulted her. The woman revealed, "Hugh Hefner came in and said hello but he didn't stay ... We ate and drank. I became ill ... The next thing I remember was that I was sort of awake, in a bed, with no clothes on and there was Mr Cosby, in a robe, crawling from the bottom of the bed. I was incapacitated and couldn't say no. He engaged in sexual activity with me. It was not consensual. I was afraid to call out." Hollywood's not done cashing in on the 'hood -- a "Straight Outta Compton" sequel, of sorts, is in the works featuring the rise of Snoop Dogg, Tupac and other West Coast rap legends. Dogg Pound vet Daz tells TMZ the movie will pick up where N.W.A. left off -- following the careers of Snoop, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, Daz and Warren G. We're told the title is "Dogg Pound 4 Life." Comcast is launching pilot schemes for its low-cost internet service aimed senior citizens, coming to San Francisco and Palm Beach County, Florida. It forms part of Comcast'sInternet Essentials service that launched in 2011,offering cheaper internet connections to low-income families since 2011. Internet Essentials consists of a 10 Mbps connection (recently doubled) for just under $10. The expansion of the scheme should help to cover where are unable to get connectivity, while giving some welcome good publicity to, ugh,this company.Comcast says the scheme has so far "connected more than 500,000 families" to its service. The internet provider also references research from Pew that found that less than half of seniors (aged 65 and older) have high-speed Internet at home. Sony has revealed the SmartBand 2, a new version of its original fitness tracker that brings a much-needed heart rate monitor. That was a notable omission from the first SmartBand, a device that's mostly aimed at the sports set. In fact, the new model looks much the same as the original and keeps the same raison d'etre: it tracks your fitness levels and nearly everything else you do using the Lifelog app. While it lacks a screen, it can keep you abreast of your smartphone reminders via LED and vibration notifications. It might be a tough sell, however. After all, there are smartwatches that do the same functions for not much more, and better fitness trackers for less. Russell Poole, the lead investigator in the death of legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G., passed away on Wednesday (August 19). According to the L.A. Times, Poole was discussing another cold case with Los Angeles County Sheriff homicide investigators when he had a fatal heart attack. Poole famously accused an LAPD officer of conspiring with Suge Knight to kill the prolific Brooklyn rapper in 1997, and the investigator believed that Biggie's death was made in retaliation to 2Pac's murder. Just two years after heading the case Poole retired from the LAPD in protest to being told to stop his investigation, and he strongly believed that he was close to solving B.I.G.'s murder.  In 2011, Poole told Billboard, "I think I was getting too close to the truth. I think they feared the truth would be a scandal." Poole continued to work on the case as a private investigator after leaving the LAPD, whom he sued for violating his First Ammendment rights after they tried to quie

Despite the portrayal on the big screen, Suge's lawyer said that the former music exec has done a lot for his Compton community.  "A lot of the media does not realize how many good things he did for people, particularly in his community. He financed athletic facilities in schools, he gave money to the homeless, money to people in need. He tried to arrange truces on the streets so people weren't killed. He funded funerals for families who were devastated by violence. He used to give a dinner every year for single moms in Compton to recognize their courage and their achievement. Straight Outta Compton has made quite a large impact since hitting cinemas on Friday. And while cities across the United States are currently reveling in the on-screen antics of Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Dr Dre, DJ Yella, and MC Ren, there is one place that hasn’t been able to see the film yet. Almost cruelly, that place is Compton itself, because the Los Angeles neighborhood doesn’t actually have a cinema in which it can play.  The F. Gary Gray-directed film is primarily set in the titular region, which is situated just south of downtown LA and has a population of around 95,000 people. You’re probably wondering how such a large hub doesn’t have one cinema. Well, according to Manuel Pastor, a USC professor of sociology talking to CBS News, the lack of a cinema is because the area is a "low income area" that has "been heavily dis-invested in." After nearly two weeks in theaters,Fantastic Four is a bonafide flop, both critically and commercially. What’s worse is that the film didn’t have to turn out that way. Around the same time that Josh Trank was hired as director, 20th Century Fox recruited Jeremy Slater to write the first draft, but in 2014, Simon Kinberg rewrote most of Slater’s script. Unfortunately, thanks to some new information, it sounds like it might have been a much better film than the final product. According to Birth.Movies.Death., the first act of Fantastic Four in this script moved similarly to the first act of the theatrical film, but there were still many notable differences. While in the theatrical film it’s obvious that Reed Richards and Ben Grimm are good friends, it’s made explicitly clear in this draft that Ben is Reed’s protector. If you are a Verizon Wireless customer, better not count on using Samsung Pay. A tweet from the Samsung Support team confirms that Big Red is not supporting Sammy's mobile payment service. Samsung Pay is set to debut in the U.S. on September 28. It will actually launch in South Korea in just two days, on August 20th. In the beginning of July, former Subway spokesman, Jared Fogle, had his home raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigationas they closed in on a child porn investigation. Today, Jared went to court and has plead guilty to child pornography charges and paying for sex with minors. According to court docs, Fogle traveled to New York to have sex with both a 16 and 17-year-old between the years of 2010 and 2013. Prior to the hearing the F.B.I. seized his electronics and found that he had in factpaid $100 to have sex with another 16-year-old back in 2008. In another part Fogle is said to have received photos and videos from Russell Taylor (the former executive director of Jared's foundation) showing children as young as six years of age. Fogle is now expected to pay $100,000 to each of his 14 victims, totaling $1.4 million. Shaun King - a Black Lives Matter activist bent on ending police brutality in the United States- began trending on social media after being outed for allegedly being White. Vicki Pate, a woman who has been following the story since the rumors began, obtained his birth certificate (along with several other documents) which state he was born to a White man and White female. A website gathered all of Pate's information and posted it to their site, claiming King lied about the number of children he has with his wife, Rai King, and being assaulted by White supremacists, among other things.       Madame Tussauds recently unveiled a Nicki Minaj wax figure which depicted the Young Money emcee in a provocative pose from her "Anaconda" video, and fans have been getting a little freaky with the display. The museum has released a statement in the wake of scandalous photos of fans posing with the statue surfaced online.  "We have been made aware of the inappropriate photograph that was taken at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, involving Nicki Minaj's new wax figure...It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we apologize for any offense this has caused. While the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton is currently enjoying massive success, rapper and music journalist Dee Barnes believes the film left out some crucial details; namely, all the violence against women perpetrated by the group members and specifically Dr. Dre. Barnes, who was allegedly viciously assaulted by Dr. Dre in 1991 over a segment she hosted on the Fox show Pump It Up!, spoke about the abuse she suffered at the hands of the legendary rap figure in an essay published on Tuesday to Gawker. Regardless of what you may think of Chief Keef or his music, it seems the Chi-town emcee is definitely taking care of his family's pocketbooks. Rashieda Saunders, the drill rapper's alleged third baby mama, filed a paternity lawsuitagainst Keef last year, and in May he was ordered by a judge to appear in court to answer the suit. When a movie surprises the industry by tracking well, then exceeding box-office expectations, it’s hardly surprising to hear sequel talk the Monday following opening. Marvel Comics has announced a new comic called “Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur” which features a young African American female superhero.
