Las Vegas Killer's Girlfriend Says There Were Signs Of Mental Illness

More news continues to unfold in the Las Vegas terrorist attack, as details of the shooter’s life and mental state are coming out. According to the terrorist’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, Stephen Paddock had signs of mental illness. One former FBI official was briefed on the situation and said what Danley told the authorities, "She said he would lie in bed, just moaning and screaming 'Oh my god.'" Another official said Danley told them that Paddock was displaying “mental health symptoms.”
Two FBI officials on the case noted that they did not have a clear motive for Paddock shooting and killing 60 people. They also do not think the terrorist’s mental health was broken down to the point where he would carry out shooting and killing so many people.
Police officials did point out that Paddock was prescribed Valium, an anti-anxiety medication. Other investigators on the case said that Paddock may have been in mental anguish or physical pain as well. Currently, six media devices left behind by the shooter are being inspected. On one of the devices, Paddock’s browsing history showed that he had plans on attacking other locations in the United States, including Chicago and Boston according to NBC News.
