Kodak Black to Pay $4,200 a Month in Child Support Until 2033

Image
Kodak Black has to start paying a hefty amount of child support each month. As reported by Bossip, the Floridian rapper has been ordered to pay the mother of his child, Jammiah Broomfield, $4,200K per month in child support payments. This will put an end to the custody battle the parents were embroiled in over their son, King Khalid. Kodak has agreed to the amount and will be paying it 12 times a year until 2033. By that time, the amount paid out to Broomfield will be over $800,000. Through their settlement, Kodak will have open access to see his child. Sara Lawrence, Broomfield's lawyer, told the website last month that the deal is fair to both parties. “This was not easy to get to, but they love the kid, and he’s a cute little boy,” Lawrence said. This becomes one less legal headache for Kodak Black as he continues to face rape charges for an incident that took place in South Carolina. While he is barred from speaking about the incident or his accuser, Kodak is working on musi

All Def Comedy Drops Russell Simmons Amid Assault Claim

Image
Amid Hip-Hop icon Russell Simmon’s recent accusations of sexual assault, HBO has distanced themselves from him by dropping him from All Def Comedy and removed his name from the upcoming series. After recent accuser Jenny Lumet’s open letter to Simmons was published by The Hollywood Reporter, where she told her story of the incident, Simmons released a statement declaring that he will step down from his Def Jam empire and apologizes for the incident, despite having a different memory of the night with Lumet. "I have been informed with great anguish of Jenny Lumet’s recollection about our night together in 1991. I know Jenny and her family and have seen her several times over the years since the evening she described. While her memory of that evening is very different from mine, it is now clear to me that her feelings of fear and intimidation are real. While I have never been violent, I have been thoughtless and insensitive in some of my relationships over many decades and I since

58% of Hotel Workers Say They've Been Sexually Harassed by Guest

Image
Low-wage workers have been fighting sexual harassment for years. Cecilia tells her story and opens up about what she’s faced, working at a hotel. Cecilia was working as a minibar attendant when she knocked on the guest’s door and announced herself. The man’s response was quick: “You can come in.” When she opened the door, “He was at the computer, masturbating,” Cecilia recalled. She was shocked and embarrassed. She assumed that was the plan from the jump, judging from the look on his face. “I felt nasty,” she said. “You’d expect that to happen to people in a jail but not in regular work. I felt like crying.” However, this wasn’t the only time Cecilia had dealt with extreme forms of sexual harassment in her long career in working in downtown hotels. A male guest once answered her knock by opening the door naked. Just a month and a half ago, a younger colleague confided to Cecilia that a male guest had tried to embrace her while she was in his room. Cecilia escorted the shaken and dis

NBA Commish Meets with NCAA to Discuss Ending "One-and-Done" Rule

Image
The "one-and-done" rule is one of the least favorite rules that implemented by the NBA's former commissioner David Stern. The rule prohibits players to enter the draft directly out of high school - i.e. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Tracey McGrady, Kevin Garnett, etc - but instead are required to be 19 years of age and one year removed from high school. For many young NBA prospects, this means going to college for one year to fulfill the basic draft requirements. But since the new NBA commissioner has taken charge, the prospects of reforming the rule or getting rid of it all together has become more of a real possibility. What many people close to the situation are speculating is that Silver and the NBA front office may propose that players can enter the draft directly out of high school but that those who enter college must stay a minimum of two years. In order for this to work the NBA Players Association (NBAPA) must cede to the proposed plan. What are your thoughts on t

Former NFL Player Diagnosed With CTE While Alive, Serves as Breakthrough

Image
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) has become a major topic in the NFL. The degenerative brain disease linked to repetitive head trauma causes memory loss, rage, mood swings, and in some cases, suicidal ideation. Doctors were only able to diagnose CTE postmortem, but that could soon change. Researchers at Evanston's NorthShore University HealthSystem believe they found traces of CTE in a former football player while he was still alive, according to the Chicago Tribune. Four years ago, those researchers and other scientific organizations announced they had used brain scans to detect the hallmark of CTE in ex-NFL players while they were still alive, a technique that promised to spur more accurate diagnoses, and possibly new treatments. The scans indicated the presence of tau, a protein that builds up over damaged brain cells. Scientists cautioned that the results needed to be confirmed as the only definitive diagnosis could be made by examining brain tissue after a person's

Brett Ratner Axed from Wonder Woman Sequel, Gal Gadot Confirms

Image
Wonder Woman’ star Gal Gadot received much praise for her role as the iconic comic book character. The praise for the movie found her gearing up for the sequel, which was produced by Brett Ratner. However, Gadot made it clear that she would not be back for the sequel if Ratner was on-board. The news came after Ratner was accused of sexual misconduct by several women. Since then, it seemed to be a toss-up in terms of if Ratner would still be involved with the sequel. Now, Gadot has confirmed Ratner’s removal from the project. While on the “Today Show,” Gadot was asked about the ultimatum she made in reference to Ratner. Gadot responded: “Everyone knew what was the right thing to do.. a lot has been written about my views and the way that I feel, and everyone knows the way that I feel because I’m not hiding anything.” She went on to say “But the truth is, there’s so many people involved in making this movie, it’s not just me, and they all echoed the same sentiments. You know what I mea

AT&T dropping your calls? This setting might help

Image
The weird voice call disconnect outage that has been affecting AT&T subscribers since yesterday, regardless of their iOS or Android affiliation, is seemingly abating, but the issue seems to stem from voice-over-LTE identifiers, so changing a setting on your iPhone might help. No, we aren't talking about AT&T's advice to keep restarting your phone until it actually begins connecting your calls, but to turn off VoLTE for the time being. On your iPhone, go to Settings>Cellular>Cellular Data Options>Enable LTE, and set it to "Data only," instead of the "Voice&data" option you see in Apple's picture here. That's it, your calls will go via the regular voice network now, and it's prayer time that you don't get any more dropped calls because of this issue. Once you've learned that AT&T has resolved its VoLTE problems, you can return the mark back to normal, and enjoy the supposedly crystal clear voice quality that the H

According to reports, a 19-year-old woman named Giselle from the website Cinderella Escorts recently sold her virginity to a businessman in Abu Dhabi. The cost: almost three million dollars. The model spoke on all the attention gained, saying “I would have never dreamed that the bid would rise so high and we would have reached 2.5 million euros. This is a dream come true.” Metro UK noted that the businessman’s bid beat out an unnamed Hollywood actor, as well as a Russian politician. The woman spoke on selling your virginity, saying “I think the trend to sell your virginity is a form of emancipation and I am shocked about people who are against allowing a woman to sell HER virginity.” “If I want to spend my first time with someone who is not my first love, that’s my decision,” said Giselle. Cinderella Escorts spoke on the high bid for the young woman’s virginity, saying “This shows us that the desire to auction a virginity is no exception. And on the other hand, the high bidding for

NFL In Discussions to Possibly Remove Jerry Jones

Image
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones learned that he was playing with fire on Wednesday, November 15, when his attorney received a letter from the NFL's front office warning that Jones' "antics, whatever their motivation, are damaging the League.” The letter was sent in regards to Jones' persistent efforts to sabotage commissioner Roger Goodell's contract extension; a move that signifies a reversal for Jones, who voted to keep Goodell atop the league back in May. Now it seems Jones has had a change of heart with the suspension of Ezekiel Elliott and Goodell's hesitance to put an end to National Anthem protests. "Your client's antics, whatever their motivation, are damaging the league and reflect conduct detrimental to the league's best interests," said the letter, addressed to high-powered attorney David Boies. The league eventually went on to insist that Jones cease his crusade against Goodell, with the letter reading: "With due respect, w

Image
Donald Trump thinks LiAngelo Ball and his two UCLA teammates are ungrateful for his assistance in helping them return to the U.S.The POTUS requested the assistance of the Chinese President to help get these boys out of the country after they were arrested for shoplifting last week. They faced up to 10 years in prison, but some strings were pulled and the boys were able to get back home. Trump took to Twitter to boast about his involvement. “Do you think the three UCLA Basketball Players will say thank you President Trump? They were headed for 10 years in jail!” he tweeted. After being held in China for a week, LiAngelo and teammates Jalen Hill and Cody Riley returned to the U.S. on Tuesday. TMZ reported that Trump personally spoke with China’s president Xi Jinping to help get the UCLA players out of trouble. It's official! Sprint Unlimited subscribers get unlimited Hulu

Image
Yesterday, we told you that Wave7 Research had published a report, stating that Sprint would offer free Hulu to its unlimited customers. Whether the report forced Sprint to show its hand early, or the carrier had always planned on introducing this new feature today isn't known, and it really doesn't matter. Starting on November 17th, Sprint Unlimited subscribers get to enjoy as much Hulu as they care to view. For those unaware, Hulu is a streaming video provider with a library of movies, original and hit television shows that you can watch over your mobile device. Birdman Taunts Lil Wayne by Bragging About Buying $100K Louis Vuitton Toilet

Image
Riding on the heels of the highly publicized feud with Lil Wayne, Birdman took to Instagram to show off his plans of buying a $100,000 toilet. In a since-deleted post, Birdman posted a toilet branded with the Louis Vuitton pattern along with lavish gold trimmings. “I’m buyin this B***h got to havit ASAP,” the Instagram caption read, along with the hashtags “#tunechi” and “#originalcmb." This type of outlandish behavior is likely to spark controversy, as Birdman has drawn a significant amount of negative attention. In his 2016 Breakfast Club interview, Birdman told the hosts to "Put some respect on my name" before walking out with his arms crossed before the interview even started. The clip drew both negative and positive attention alike from fans. The negative attention, however, does not seem to faze Birdman, as a couple weeks ago a video surfaced of the rapper and Cash Money CEO clapping back at Lil Wayne supporters: “I been hearing all you n***as talking about thi

Tyrese Ex-Wife Wants Him to Have Mental Evaluation

According to TMZ, Tyrese's ex-wife, Norma, has requested that the judge in their custody battle demand a mental evaluation of the singer/actor in light of his bizarre actions. Norma's attorney, Aleen Khanjian, has pointed out that Tyrese's recent social media videos have resulted in a court-appointed evaluator claiming the Los Angeles native has a "mental illness." Norma has also told the court that Tyrese has violated the terms of the temporary order (and is seeking a permanent restraining order) which forbids him from discussing he and Norma's 10-year-old daughter, Shayla. The court has not yet demanded a mental evaluation. Source: TMZ

Get Out' Will Reportedly Compete as a Comedy at the Golden Globes

Image
Jordan Peele's blockbuster smash, Get Out, was a new-age horror film centered on racism in American society. And as the award season looms, many are tapping Get Out as a favorite to snatch up multiple awards. However, the film is reportedly competing in the comedy category of the Golden Globes which left one of the film's stars scratching his head. Lil Rel took to Twitter after hearing that the film landed in the comedy section, "But if I can be honest this is weird to me... Their is nothing funny about racism... Was it that unrealistic lol." The Golden Globes are divided into Comedy/Musical and Drama which leaves room for interpretation so it may not be a dig at the film although the concept of Black people having their bodies plundered by wealthy whites is all too scary

Warren G Would Cater for Donald Trump For the Right Price

Image
The West Coast veteran doesn’t think that doing business with Trump would make him a sellout either. During a recent interview with Raq Rants, he voiced his opinion on the matter. “Hell yeah, I’ll cater for his ass,” said Warren G when asked if he would provide food for Trump. “It’s gonna cost. It’ll cost a lot. But I’ll do it. Sh*t yeah. I’m a businessman. I ain’t gonna sit up there and say no I ain’t gonna do that. You wanna eat muthaf**ka? Alright, pay me!” Warren G believes the ends certainly would justify the means in a case like that. He laid out what he would do with the money he’d make from a President Trump gig. “Imma come right back here and Imma open up businesses in the neighborhood for these people to have jobs so you won’t be trying to down em,” he continued. “Motherf**kas ain’t thinking like that. That’s how I am. Hell yeah Imma do it and Imma come right back to the hood and open up businesses so people could survive and be cool.” Warren said it wouldn’t make him a sel

Liangelo Ball Not Coming Home, Could Be Detailed in China for Weeks

Image
LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley remain under virtual house arrest at a Hangzhou hotel and may wind up stuck in the Chinese city for a week or more as the legal process in regards to their recent shoplifting arrest plays out. As it stands the UCLA trio are lucky to be out on bond and receiving the backing of Chinese billionaire e-commerce mogul Jack Ma (founder of Alibaba), who has said "every young person makes mistakes" in regards to the crime. But despite the support, things still won't go as smoothly as the university, the NCAA and the family of the three young men would like. It has been reported that they will not be allowed to fly back to the U.S. with the team and will thereby miss the Bruins home opener against Central Arkansas on Wednesday, November 15. What's more, there is a chance that charges against Ball, Hill and Riley can mount, as recent reports indicate that in addition to the Louis Vuitton theft they were busted for last Tuesday, there is

LeBron Says He's Interested in Purchasing the Cleveland Cavaliers

Image
LeBron James is one of the sports world's most prominent stars and has seen himself become a global brand. Aside from LeBron's on-the-court prowess he's been able to leverage his star power to make some serious money moves and at this point in his career, it's natural to start thinking about the next phase in life. That next phase could include team ownership as LeBron told with reporters: To be an owner of any team would be crazy, [...] If this thing opened up and I’m in a position financially, and I've got the right team around me, obviously. But who's to say Dan will (sell)? I've always kept it just player/owner at this point. I guess once I come down to that point, if the conversation needed to be had, I'll have it. But I don't have it right now. If LeBron were to ever become principal owner of the Cavs, Dan Gilbert would have to be willing to sell. But if he were to sell, the King would have to cough up roughly $1.2B. But if he takes a note fr

HBO Cuts Ties With Louis C.K. Amid Sexual Misconduct Accusations

Image
Louis C.K.'s career took huge hit on Thursday (November 9) when HBO announced that it was cutting ties with the comedian, and removing all of his content from its on-demand services. Louis's next engagement with the network was supposed to be on November 18, when he was scheduled to be a part of the "Night of Too Many Stars: America Unites for Autism Programs" special. His participation in the philanthropic Jon Stewart hosted event has been nipped as well, as the veteran comic confronts several sexual misconduct accusations that have come to surface. Earlier this week the New York Times published an article verifying the claims of at least five women who shared accounts of Louis masturbating in front of them. The incidents allegedly happened on different occasions dating back to the 1990's, with the most recent said to have occurred in 2005. According to their stories, Louis asked some of the women for permission to perform the lewd act, while others say he simpl

Being Mary Jane Gets Cancelled, Gabrielle Union Blames 50 Cent

Image
Being Mary Jane will not be returning to returning to BET. The show's lead actress Gabrielle Union appeared on Complex's Hot Ones and expressed that the show is indeed coming to an end. “For everyone who’s just really upset that BMJ is coming to a close, please send all your correspondence to 50, Curtis Jackson, who has taken sole responsibility for the loss of jobs and your show,” she said. “So don’t @ me, @ 50." It's not clear why exactly Being Mary Jane is being removed from BET's roster, but it may have to do with 50's new show 50 Central. Of course, 50 responded to Union's comments: "Listen I told you things were gonna change Gabrielle, no disrespect with all respect, I have no respect." He ended the post by saying "'ll see you around in my @michaelblackson voice.LOL" 50 Central will lead the network's fall schedule. The show consists of live sketches, pranks, performances, and more. What are your thoughts on the "G

More men are coming out and sharing their stories after Anthony Rapp accused Kevin Spacey of sexual harassment. Film director Tony Montana revealed that Spacey groped him in 2003. “He grabbed me very hard,” Montana told HuffPost. Montana also admitted that Spacey tried to convince him to leave a bar with him (during 2003 encounter). Montana mentioned that Spacey also followed him into the bathroom. Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos wrote about his feelings toward Spacey on Facebook. Translated from Spanish, Cavazos said "It appears that all that was needed was a male under the age of 30 for Mr. Spacey to feel free to touch us. It was so common that it turned into a local joke (in very bad taste)." NBC News clarified that Cavazos only had knowledge of his personal encounter with Spacey and did not witness any others. According to The New York Times, Kevin Spacey's publicist announced that the actor will be seeking treatment following the numerous accusations. “Kevin Spacey

Mother Charged After 10-Year-Old Son Fatally Stabs Himself Due to Abuse

Image
A Tennessee mother has been charged with aggravated child abuse after her 10-year-old son allegedly stabbed himself to death following a beating with an extension cord. According to police reports, Robin McKinzie admitted to authorities she whipped her son with an extension cord and choked him as a form of punishment when the child became angry. Mckinzie told police the boy ran into the kitchen and stabbed himself. According to Fox13, Memphis police say first responders found the boy bleeding from his chest at the family's apartment on Saturday, October 28. Police said the boy was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived. He was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead an hour later. McKinzie's family said the child suffered from mental health issues and the stress of raising him weighed heavily on the mother. "“She ain't that type of person. She loves her son, and she'll do anything for him--and he loves her," McKinzie’s sister Tonya Bailey told
