In the  aftermath of Thursday's massive outage , which AT&T said was caused by "the application and execution of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network, not a cyber attack."  AT&T  subscribers could be in line to receive a rebate over the incident. To recap what happened, Thursday morning AT&T and the MVNOs that rely on the AT&T network were down. Subscribers could not make or take calls or send texts. When customers of the other majors and non-AT&T MVNOs tried to call their friends, family members, and co-workers on AT&T, they could not get through which led these customers to incorrectly report to DownDetector that their wireless firm was down. So when many on the East Coast woke up Thursday morning,  it seemed like the entire U.S. wireless industry was out  even though it was only AT&T that was experiencing an outage among the majors. Shutterstock A New York judge has reportedly ordered Dame Dash to sell his shares in Roc-A-Fella to pay a $823,000 judgment to movie producer Josh Weber.  This comes after Dame sued Weber for defamation and copyright infringement from a dispute over the 2016 film "Dear Frank." Dash was fired as the film's producer, and he claimed that Weber was trying to sell the film independently under the new title, "The List." This led to Dash's lawsuit against Weber, which he ultimately lost and was ordered to pay the six-figure judgment.  While Roc-A-Fella co-founders Jay-Z and Kareem "Biggs" Burke objected to Dame being forced to sell his one-third ownership of Roc-A-Fella, the judge disagreed. U.S. Magistrate Robert W. Former talk show host Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, according to a statement released by her team on Thursday (February 22). They also revealed that the diagnosis was made last year. The statement reads: "Wendy would not have received confirmation of these diagnoses were it not for the diligence of her current care team, who she chose, and the extraordinary work of the specialists at Weill Cornell Medicine. Receiving a diagnosis has enabled Wendy to receive the medical care she requires witAphasia is a nervous system syndrome that affects a person's ability to communicate, and they can lose their ability to speak and write. AT&T  has resolved  a widespread outage that had affected over 70,000 customers by 8AM ET, according to  tracking site Downdetector.  Most of these issues were centered in Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and Atlanta. This impacted cellular service and data connections, with many customers noting that they couldn’t even contact 911. It’s still unclear as to what caused the service interruption. In a brief  statement to  CNBC,   AT&T said it is “working urgently to restore service.” The company encouraged customers to make use of Wi-Fi calling until the problem is handled Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens  noted that the city employees  could make and receive 911 calls, but that many AT&T customers could not. Dickens has suggested that city residents contact AT&T for service inquiries, and not Atlanta’s emergency services system. Famed podcaster Bobbi Althoff was trending on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday (February 21), as a risqué video that appeared to be her surfaced. A few hours later, Bobbi addressed the video on her Instagram Stories. She told viewers that she saw that she was trending on X, which she thought was because of her new podcast episode with Wiz Khalifa. However, Bobbi soon realized it was because of the video, which she stated wasn't real. Bobbi went on to reveal that people on her team even questioned if the video was real, but Bobbi said that it was a deepfake made by AI. You can check her out here  

Angela Yee recently spoke on Sexyy Red being announced as the Female Rapper of the Year by XXL Magazine while on her show, and guest B. Dot of ‘Rap Radar’ added commentary, seemingly snubbing the St. Louis rapper.  Sexyy Red had a breakout year in 2023 with her song “SkeeYee,” along with guest features,  including her viral verse on Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy.”  While reacting to the announcement, B. Jhene Aiko recently ran into some issues over an incident that went down in 2022.  Aiko was sued by a woman named Genelle Ligot for a car accident that found the victim allegedly suffering injuries. The singer was accused of rear-ending a vehicle at a stop light in July 2022, resulting in injuries for Ligot. Court documents say the woman “was injured in health, strength, and activity.”Because of the accident in Encino, California, Ligot claims she suffered “wage loss, loss of use of property, hospital and medical expenses, general damage, property damage and loss of earning capacity.” The lawsuit from Ligot is asking for damages along with a jury trial, alleging that the singer acted negligently, which caused her to get injured. source:  The Blast

Adult film actress Kagney Linn Karter was reportedly found dead after an apparent suicide,  TMZ  reports. She was 36. Records from the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner show that Karter's body was received from Parma, Ohio. On behalf of Karter's mother, Tina, a  GoFundMe  was started by the actress' friends, who wrote in the page's description that despite Karter's achievements in performance and fitness, she "struggled with mental health issues as the years passed by." "Even in her darkest days, however, she still showed up to the studio, always ready to learn, contribute, better herself in whatever small way she could manage," the description continued about Karter's efforts at Northeast Ohio fitness studios Ecole de Pole Cleveland and Ecole de Pole Akron. Chris Brown claimed on Instagram that he was initially invited to play in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game but was later uninvited due to objections from sponsor RUFFLES. Brown shared screenshots of correspondence from the NBA detailing logistics for the event and uniforms. He expressed frustration, stating that he was tired of people bothering him and clarified that he would not attend the All-Star Weekend even though the NBA suggested he could sit court-side. Brown did not specify the reasons for his removal but mentioned past issues, including the 2009 assault of Rihanna.

Chris Brown recently  revealed  that he was invited to play in the NBA All-Star celebrity game, only to be told that his invite was being taken away due to one of the sponsors, Ruffles, not wanting Chris in the game.  Chris wrote, "I was asked by the NBA to play in the all star game this year! Only for them to call later and say they couldn't do IT because of their sponsors like RUFFLES. At this point I'm sick of people bothering me and I'm tired of living in the fucking past. Bobby Shmurda was recently in London, where he performed a couple of songs at Proud Cabaret nightclub. Footage shows the rapper hanging out with his entourage after performing, but things went left at one point, leading to a scuffle. TMZ obtained footage of an argument between Bobby and his crew and a club promoter. It's unclear what started the altercation, but Bobby could be seen rising above the group and appearing to spit at someone. Bobby and his crew reportedly left the club after the incident.   TMZ

According to reports, NFL player Patrick Mahomes’ father—Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested for a DWI charge in Texas this past Saturday night. This is the third time Mahomes was arrested according to TMZ. In 2019, he was allegedly apprehended for a second or subsequent offense of driving while intoxicated (DWI), resulting in a 40-day jail sentence. To meet his obligation, he purportedly served his time exclusively on weekends.
