Detroit Police Chief James Craig announces warrant sweep, narcotics blitz as part of Operation Restor Order
DETROIT, MI -- Last month, it was Operation April Showers, now it's Operation Cherry Blossom.
"The Detroit Police Department in conjunction with its state and federal partners will conduct a narcotics blitz and warrant sweep," Detroit police officials said Thursday. "The primary goal of this operation is to arrest those individuals with outstanding warrants and conduct home inspections of those individual who are currently on probation or parole."
This is the eight publicly announced mass operation under what Detroit Police Chief James Craig calls Operation Restore Order.
Police conducted Operation April Showers on April 25 and Operation March Madness on March 25.
