Congress Welcomes First Black Republican Congresswoman: Mia Love

Mia Love made history today, November 5th, as she has been elected to represent Utah's 4th congressional district as the first ever Black Republican congresswoman.  Mia is also the first Haitian American both elected into Congress and representative of the Republican party.  Mia managed to pull ahead of her Democratic competition, Doug Owens, in order to lock down this historic victory.

The inclusion of a Black  republican woman in Congress has sparked loads of reactions from the general public.  Some have expressed great joy for Mia's historical feat, while others shed light on the fact that they believe her to be a dishonest person.  Other individuals believe that this still does not prove that the GOP does not hold racist motives, and some people have already begun predicting that she will be running for Vice President.
