15-Year-Old Teen Charged With Attempted Murder Over Jordans

Sad news has come out of Jacksonville, Florida recently, now that a teenager has been charged with attempted murder after meeting up with a woman who planned on selling her Air Jordans.
15-year-old Antiono Maurice Boykin was certified as an adult by a judge after shooting at a car full of people during an attempt to sell sneakers gone wrong. Boykin - who met the 19-year-old female through Facebook - met up with her on February 22 on East Seventh Street. Accompanied by two friends, one of them told Boykin not to spend the money on the pair of Air Jordan 11 Retro "Legend Blue" (presumably the sneaker in question), to which he responded he'd "buy what" he wants. Moments later Boykin pulled out a handgun and told the woman "You just got bucked," pointing it at her and the two men who came with her. Her taillight was then shot at by Boykin as she sped from the scene.
Boykin was later identified by the police as the shooting suspect through him and the woman's Facebook interactions, and has now been charged with both attempted murder and shooting the weapon. His bail is currently set at $1 million.
At the end of the day, a 15-year-old kid will more than likely miss out on a life because of a pair of shoes. Dozens have died over the years due to similar occurrences, which brings us to this question: Is a pair of kicks more important than your life?
