How to jailbreak iOS 8.3 on your iPhone or iPad with TAiG tool

Rejoice, jailbreak addicts, as the Chinese hacking crew TAiG just released the long-awaited jailbreak tool for iOS 8.3 on your iPhone or iPad. We haven't had a jailbreak tool since iOS 8.1.2 came around, so this is certainly good news. Granted, Apple will be releasing iOS 8.4 next week, and with it the new Apple Music app and accompanying subscription music streaming service, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. In the meantime, here is what you need to do to jailbreak the latest iOS 8.3 on your iPhone or iPad:

1. Backup your device completely via iTunes, then factory reset it as brand new - this will avoid it being hit with some of the various tiny bugs reported with the jailbreak release;

Download TAiG's jailbreak tool, and install it on your Windows machine (sorry, Win-only or now), placing the icon on the desktop, so you can start it easier later on;

Go to Settings >Touch ID and Passcode > Turn Passcode Off on your iOS device;

Hit the Settings app again, go to iCloud > Find My iPhone, and make sure that the Find My iPhone option is switched off;

Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to your computer, and start the TaIG jailbreak program;

Once the splash screen is on, you will see two checked options - leave Cydia as is, but remove the tick from the 3K Assistant one, as shown here:

Press on Start, TAiG's tool will do its thing, jailbreaking your iOS gear, then restore your iTunes backup, configuring your phone or tablet as usual.

That's all, you should now have a functional iOS 8.3 jailbreak that will open the floodgates of Cydia tricks, tweaks, apps and widgets, expanding the horizons of Apple's iOS immensely.
