Meizu MX5 poses for more pictures just days before unveiling

With the Meizu MX5 expected to be unveiled on June 30th, some new pictures of the device have surfaced. The images once again confirm that the phone will feature a fingerprint scanner embedded in the oval button under the screen. The device will feature a 5.5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. That works out to a pixel density of 401ppi.

Driving the device is the MediaTek MT-6795T SoC, which includes a true octa-core CPU and the PowerVR G6200 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of internal memory. A 20.7MP camera adorns the back of the MX5 and a 5MP snapper is found in front. With a 3150mAh battery powering the unit, Android 5.0.1 is pre-installed. Speaking of the battery, the mCharge technology allows you to charge the cell up to 25% after just 10 minutes.

The Meizu MX5 could be priced at the equivalent of $290 USD. We should be able to fill in all of the gaps this coming Tuesday once Meizu takes the wraps off of the handset.
