Bobbi Kristina Dead At Age 22
of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has died.
In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, the family thanked the fans for their support and says Kristina is at peace with God.
"She is finally at peace in the arms of God," the Houston family said. "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
Kristina was hospitalized in January after she was found unresponsive in her bathtub by boyfriend Nick Gordon. She was later put on a ventilator to assist with breathing at the North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia. After there was a failure of improvement in her status, she was put in a medically induced coma at Atlanta's Emory University Hospital.
With photographers and fans watching the family's every move, she was moved to an hospice center in June.
The family has feuded with Grodon about his role in the incident. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is working with the family and friends of Bobbi Kristina over accusations of domestic abuse from Gordon. Bobbi Kristina grew closer to Gordon after the death of her mother in 2012. Dreaming of following her mother's footsteps, Bobbi Kristina moved to Los Angeles and later starred in her own reality show, "The Houstons: On Our Own." She also was the sole inheritor of Whitney's estate, estimated at $115 million.
"I still feel her everywhere," Brown said on the "The Houstons: On Our Own." "She's still around me and that's what keeps me comfortable, is knowing that my best friend, my everything, is still with me."
