Foxy Brown Arrives Late For Performance, Is Denied Club Entry

Foxy Brown was so late to arrive at scheduled performance over the weekend, that she was altogether stopped from entering to partake in the remainder of the event.
On Saturday, June 3, residents of the Brooklyn community young and old came together to celebrate the 6th annual Bushwick Collective charity block party. Aside from all of the face-painting, crafts, food trucks, and beer garden those who frequent the function look forward to, many converge on the corner of Troutman and St. Nicholas yearly for the benefit's popular graffiti display and for its live music guests. This year DJ Evil Dee was spinning and he was to be joined by Mysonne, CL Smooth, Statik Selektah, Dipset [minus Jim Jones], and Foxy Brown. But attendees waited on Fox Boogie, to no avail.
As has become custom for Foxy over the past several months, she was late to hit the stage. Very late. And when she did finally arrive, it is reported that the event's community-affairs crew refused to allow the Ill Na Na rapper and her entourage to the stage. Foxy's rep has since defended the 90's rap queen by deflecting blame on Bushwick Collective organizers, saying in a statement, "She’s not acting like a diva. She’s a star. They didn’t have things properly put together."
Back in April, Foxy was given the same kind of cold shoulder when she arrived late at a Philadelphia Black Pride event she was scheduled to perform at and was booed back out of the venue moments after sliding in inconspicuously.
