Conor McGregor Medically Suspended for Two Months After TKO
Conor McGregor accomplished an impressive feat last weekend and went almost 10 rounds against Floyd Mayweather before losing by TKO. His remarkable appetite for punishment has its consequences, however, as the Irish brawler was issued a two-month medical suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission on Tuesday.
McGregor has been suspended from competition until Oct. 26 and is barred from "contact" until Oct. 11.
A medical suspension is reportedly standard regulatory practice in combat sports and shouldn't affect his next fight.
The mixed martial artist received praise for his boxing debut, winning the first round of the bout according to all three judges and landing a total of 111 punches, reports ESPN.
