Derrick Rose Says Knicks Last Season Was Craziest, Most Confusing on Court

Point guard Derrick Rose only spent one season with the New York Knicks before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now, Rose has spoken on his time with the Knicks, saying it was both “crazy and confusing.” According to the Associated Press, Rose said, “On the court was when it was the craziest to me. Some of the strategies and all that, I didn’t understand. It was confusing. It was just a learning experience.”
Previously, Rose was very critical of the triangle offense that was pushed by former team president Phil Jackson. The point guard’s older brother Reggie Rose spoke on his younger brother’s mind state throughout his last few years in the league, saying, “I’m not going to lie to you; the last two or three years, Derrick has been through a lot mentally,” said Rose's older brother, Reggie. “When you’re losing more than you’re winning, it can get difficult. So with him going to be in a winning environment again now, able to see how LeBron (James) prepares himself, the things LeBron does with his body, Derrick can incorporate that into his own game.”
Rose will be serving as the back-up to Isaiah Thomas on the Cavs once he completely recovers from his hip injury.
