The Air Jordan III Flyknit 'Black' Release Date Gets Pushed Back
At the end of January, we provided an initial look at the Air Jordan III Flyknit 'Black' in commemoration of the silhouette's 30th year in existence. The kicks are a mashup of the classic performance sneaker we've come to know and love in combination with Nike's modern-day lightweight Flyknit technology.
The 'Black' rendering of the sneaker is the first offering Jordan Brand has unveiled to the masses as the sneaker takes on a similar aesthetic to the 'Flip' colorway of the Air Jordan III. The Flyknit version of the kicks takes on an aggressive micro-Flyknit woven base complete with a very distinctive pattern throughout the base of the sneaker while the textured elephant print mudguard remains intact despite the material update.
A supportive synthetic heel panel displays a debossed Jumpman logo and ditches the classic Nike AIR branding while waxed shoelaces and a glow-in-the-dark rubber outsole close out the sneaker. Surprisingly, the Flyknit update on the classic basketball sneaker happens to be aesthetically pleasing and not doesn't distract from the original Tinker Hatfield design.
Originally, the Air Jordan III Flyknit 'Black' was scheduled to drop this upcoming Sunday, March 18th, but, the release date of the kicks has been pushed back to August 18th and will retail for $220 a pop. With that said, let us know if these joints are cop worthy in the comments.
