Lakers and Warriors Among Teams Interested in LiAngelo Ball

LiAngelo Ball declared himself for the 2018 NBA Draft earlier this year, to nobody's surprise. His outspoken father, LaVar Ball, had stated as much during one of his highly publicized media rants. While Lonzo Ball, LiAngelo's older brother, was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers last year, the team rarely got to see a return on their investment. Rookies like Donavan Mitchell have already made a big splash in the NBA, but Lonzo seems to be taking his time adjusting to the big leagues.

LiAngelo hopes to get into the league and make a bigger impact from the start. Although he's spent the last several months playing overseas in Lithuania, LiAngelo worked out at the Basketball Combine at IMG Academy earlier this week. Alex Kennedy, a writer for HoopsHype, reports that there are five teams interested in LiAngelo after his workout. ".@LiAngeloBall says he interviewed with the Thunder and Suns yesterday at the @ProBBallCombine," wrote Kennedy in a tweet. "After this event ends, he has private workouts scheduled with the Lakers, Clippers, and Warriors."

LaVar would be pleased to see his son play in Los Angeles, but interviews and private workouts don't necessarily mean that his son will get drafted. The 2018 NBA Draft takes place on Thursday, June 21.
