DeMarcus Cousins Reportedly Turned Down Pelicans 2-Year $40M Offer

NBA free agency has not disappointed this summer. WIth the seismic shifts that moves like LeBron's to Los Angeles and now DeMarcus Cousins to the Warriors has given hoop fans so much to talk about, whether they hate it or love it. The Cousins acquisition on behalf of the Warriors had many questioning the nature of competition if the Dubs can put five all-stars on the floor at once.

But with all the talk surrounding Cousins' move to the Bay Area, it is being reported that Boogie got no major offers from the other 29 teams and that he turned down a two-year deal worth $40M to go back to New Orleans. As Marc Stein reports, Boogie is effectively betting on himself that a year with the Warriors will resurrect his image and allow him the time to heal considering that the Dubs don't need him right away.
