Barbershop Argument Over Aretha Franklin Ends Up in Shooting

Two men reportedly got into an argument at a barbershop about whether Halle Berry should play Aretha Franklin in her upcoming biopic. The conversation took a sour turn though when one man decided to pull out his gun and shoot the other man.

At 10:45 a.m this past Thursday (August 16), 44-year-old Suffolk, Virginia resident Michael Hatton shot 47-year-old Tony Lundy once outside of the barbershop, which put Lundy in critical condition. As a result, Hatton was arrested and held without bail after being treated for injuries. The two men were reportedly discussing who should be cast in the movie Aretha: From These Roots.
