Robber Who Made Couples Have Sex at Gunpoint Gets 148 Years in Prison

Rasheed Powell, 43, just received a hefty prison sentence after being convicted on 60 counts of aggravated sexual assault and robbery after forcing couples to have sex at gunpoint in New Jersey area motels. Powell was arrested for crimes committed in 2012 during which he stalked couples staying in Elizabeth and Linden area motels and forcing them to commit sexual acts on one another before locking the men in the bathroom and sexually assaulting the women.

The judge told Powell on Thursday, “Your reign of terror ends here.” One of Powell's victims in attendance at the sentencing stated, “I hope you don’t have the option to see daylight again.”

Powell was sentenced to 148 years in a New Jersey state prison for his crimes.
