Jimmy Butler made it clear in the past that he no longer wanted to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Now, it seems his wish has been granted as he was traded to the 76ers.
The trade was in exchange for Robert Covington, Jerryd Bayless, Dario Saric and a 2022 second-round pick in the NBA draft. ESPN noted the deal was also made with the intention of reaching a long-term contract extension for Butler this summer.
