Kobe Bryant to Open the 'Mamba Sports Academy' for Young Athletes

Kobe Bryant has made a seamless transition from his playing days in the NBA to off the court with his entrepreneurial ventures and creative projects. A constant throughout Bryant's transition, however, has been his ability to successfully shift his vaunted "Mamba Mentality" to other things outside of the competitive sports world. His latest endeavor will be to impart that mentality onto the next generation of athletes as Kobe will be opening the Mamba Sports Academy for young athletes.
The multisport training facility will be housed in a 100,000 square foot space in Thousand Oaks, CA and will include "five basketball courts, five volleyball courts, two beach volleyball courts, a turf field, an esports training ground, batting cages, pitching mounds and a Gracie Barra jiu jitsu school."
Kobe said the academy "has perfected the art and science of athletic training, from elite players to young kids getting started," adding, "MAMBA Sports Academy is a natural expansion of my commitment to educating and empowering the next generation of kids through sports."
