KFC Is Fully Serious About Its New Gaming KFConsole
What started out as a joke is now a reality at KFC. Having teased the console since June 2020, KFC has officially announced that they will, in fact, be launching a gaming console with a built-in chicken warmer.
Called the KFConsole and taking a shape resembling that of a KFC bucket, the console boasts 4K and 240FPS. KFC has teamed up with Cooler Master and houses a custom Cooler Master NC100 chassis, as well as the Intel Nuc 9 Extreme Compute Element to drive performance while still keeping space down. Cooler Master has also added a first-of-its-kind, swappable GPU slot for gaming enthusiasts to outfit with different components for easy upgrades and staying up to date for generations of consoles to come.
Most importantly, gamers need not worry about running out of space. Cool Master unveils the performance of the PCIe NVMe speeds to be six-times faster, booting games up in seconds, with instant data access when loading games. They have also upgraded the data storage with two Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSD, purposely to increase the level of reliability, performance and efficiency of the console.
Using the system’s natural heat, the KFConsole promises to be the world’s first-ever combined, gaming console and chicken-warming chamber. KFC states, “Never risk letting your chicken go cold again thanks to the patented Chicken Chamber. Utilizing the systems natural heat and airflow system you can now focus on your gameplay and enjoy hot, crispy chicken between rounds”.
