According to reports, the Texas Department of Safety issued an Amber Alert this past Friday that featured characters from the iconic horror movie ‘Child’s Play.’ In the Amber Alert, the photos used for the suspect and abducted child were characters Glen Ray and Chucky.
Texas DPS said the Amber Alert was a test post that was accidentally sent out. The alert went on to describe each character in full, including their height along with the type of clothes each character wears, including Chucky’s standard blue overalls, which the “Good Guy Doll” is known for. Along with that, the alert described Chucky to be “wielding a huge kitchen knife.”
Ruben Medina of Texas DPS issued a statement on the matter, saying, “This was actually a test we were running on a dev server, and it accidentally went out. We appreciate you reaching out to us to verify this. We do apologize for this inconvenience (to) you." Take a look above.
