Awake the Rapper' Named 'Person of Interest' in Fourth of July Parade Shooting in Illinois
According to reports, police have identified a "person of interest" in the shooting that occurred during the Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.
Robert "Bobby" Crimo III, 22, was taken into custody on Monday evening after a brief pursuit.
Crimo, who goes by the stage name "Awake the Rapper," was allegedly standing atop a building and fired shots into a crowd, killing six individuals and wounding 30.
Charges have yet to be filed.
