Pokémon and airliner ANA are releasing new Red & Green planes for the franchise's 30th anniversary 🎉
The Japanese airline first announced the collaboration back in February as part of a double anniversary celebration marking 30 years since Pokemon Red & Green launched in 1996, alongside the 40th anniversary of ANA International flights.
At the time, ANA confirmed that three new themed aircraft inspired by Red, Green, and Blue would launch throughout 2026. Now, fans can finally grab a sneak peek at what they can expect to see when flying on the Red and Green versions of the planes.Pokemon Jet Red is a specially painted Boeing 787-8 covered in Fire-type starters from across the series, including Charmander, Cyndaquil, Chimchar, Tepig, Scorbunny, Fuecoco, and the newly revealed Pombo from Pokemon Waves.
Meanwhile, the Jet Green Boeing 787-9 features Grass-type starters, including Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, Turtwig, Snivy, Chespin, Rowlet, Grookey, Sprigatito, and the new kid on the block, Browt from Pokemon Winds.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Pokemon collab without featuring everyone’s favorite electric mouse, Pikachu. The little guy appears prominently across both aircraft designs, so you’ll get to see him no matter which aircraft you choose to t
ake.
