The UFC announced earlier today that former fighter Corey Hill was dead after a bout with pneumonia and a lung transplant, but Lauren Hill, the athlete's wife, quickly denied reports.
She told TMZ that her husband is "resting and still alive," and added, "My husband is a strong fighter. Please everyone pray for him."
Corey famously suffered a broken leg during his 2008 bout against Dale Hartt, which many consider one of the most gruesome injuries in UFC history. Devoted to the sport, Corey jumped back in the ring just 13 months after his injury and unanimously defeated Jason Trzewieczynski.
