Shaq Blows Up After LeBron Passes Him on All-Time Scoring List
TNT had a little bit of fun with the idea of Shaq learning that Lebron James had surpassed him on the NBA's all-time scorning list on Thursday, March 30. While on air, O'Neal was nothing but graceful in how he received the event, stating, "I'm happy for LeBron," before recalling having first heard about James as a high school sensation, and traveling to Akron to personally get a look at him dominate in a St. Vincent–St. Mary High School uniform. But the Hall of Famer's temperament when he got back stage at the NBA on TNT studios, was a whole different story. All it took was colleague Dennis Scott to make mention of the big man descending down from 7th to 8th place on the list, to set him off. Nothing in the vicinity was safe from destruction, as Shaq tore through the room smashing and tossing equipment, before hacking at a photo of James that Scott had in his hand.
