5 People Injured in Shooting in Sunset Park Area of Brooklyn, Explosive Device Found

Police are investigating a shooting incident in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn, with reports that at least five people were injured on Tuesday (April 12) morning. 

The incident happened near Fourth Avenue and 36th Street around 8:30 am, and police sources told NBC 4's Tracie Strahan that "a man possibly dressed in MTA clothing threw some sort of device and began shooting at a subway station." An explosive device was reportedly found at the scene. 

Police are currently investigating the situation, and further information hasn't been made public so far. We'll be sure to update you as more information is available.
