A Detroit man started up his own shoe & apparel company

A Detroit man started up his own shoe & apparel company and has already donated thousands of shoes to the community. @Negash83

Zeek Williams @nedzeek_, the head of Negash Apparel & Footwear, says all the shoes are designed in Detroit. They feature a variety of shoe styles with different colors and designs (slide left.) 

"Making sure we put a product out that represents us as a people, you know, keeping the royalty at its helm," Williams said. It's important to have products that come from where you are and also give those kids that are coming up an understanding that you don't have to leave Detroit to be great, we can be great right here.. building & developing things here in the city." 

@Negash83 & @neweradetroit recently teamed up and donated 400 pairs of shoes to students at Charles R. Drew Transition Center. They plan to give out more shoes this summer too.
