Queens Man Murdered for "Snitching" on Thieves who Robbed Him

Last week, a 33 year old man was found brutally murdered, decomposing in a trash bag. Police have reason to believe this may have been done in retaliation for the man "snitching" on three men who robbed him two years ago.

Jamaica, Queens native Quynton Ross didn't come home that Sunday night, and his mother used the "Find My iPhone" app to track him down. It showed he was on a boardwalk in the Rockaways and she immediately notified police. After discovering his body, police found a rap video on YouTube containing vital information for solving the case. In other words, the culprits "snitched" on themselves.

According to DNAInfo:

"The video begins with a knock on the door of what is described as Ross' home. With rap music thumping in the background, the video presents a poster-like photo of Ross, with the words 'Big Time Snitch' on it along with a Free Dictionary explanation that a "deponent is someone who gives evidence or acts as a witness." The video then shows someone flipping through pages of the 2011 indictment against the three suspects, accompanied by the muffled voice of an ominous narrator who says Ross 'used to be their homeboy.'"

The photographer and father of a 4-year-old daughter Ross was robbed in 2011 in his own home of a watch, cash, earrings, diamonds and his iPod. Four months later he and another victim cooperated with police to help track down the thieves who continued to commit robberies in the neighborhood. Months later the three suspects were caught and charged with several robberies throughout Queens. The trio cut deals that sent them to prison, however one of the three convicts was released just two days before Ross vanished Sunday morning.
