According to reports, actor Sean Connery has passed away at the age of 90. Connery’s death was confirmed by his family, and noted that he passed away in his sleep while in the Bahamas, where he lived his last years. The actor is known many roles, and was the first actor to appear on-screen as James Bond. Along with that, Connery appeared in movies like ‘Dr. No,’ ‘The Untouchables,’ ’The Rock,’ ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,’ and more. Connery received many awards for his acting, including two British Academy Film Awards, an Academy Award, and an Oscar for his role in ‘The Untouchables.’ Connery is survived by his wife and son. source:  CNN

As the NBA gears up for a December 22 start to the new season, a "substantial faction" of NBA players are pushing for the season to begin on MLK Day (Jan. 18). Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes first reported the news on Wednesday and said this faction of players includes several star players as well. This comes on the heels of NBA champ with the Los Angeles Lakers Danny Green speculating that LeBron (and other vets) could miss the first month of the season if it does begin in December.  Before the Board of Governors agreed on the Dec. 22 start date, NBA commissioner Adam Silver told CNN that he thought a January start would be the most realistic option, although that stance has clearly changed. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst, the league is also "abandoning plans to delay the opening with hopes of incorporating fans back into arenas."  Source:  bleacherreport.com

According to reports, pornstar Ron Jeremy was arraigned on new sex crimes charges Wednesday to which he pleaded not guilty. Jeremy's new charges include three counts of forcible rape, two counts of forcible oral copulation, and one count each of sexual battery by restraint and assault with intent to commit forcible digital penetration.  The jailed-pornstar was initially arrested back in June based on allegations from four women. After the first round of accusations surfaced, at least a dozen other women came forward to accuse Jeremy of sexual assault. The latest accusations allegedly took place as far back as 1996, with the alleged victims ranging in ages from 17 to 38.  Jeremy remains in jail in lieu of $6.6 million bond. Microsoft has given a bit more clarity on how backwards compatibility will work on Xbox Series X and Series S. Nearly every game that runs on Xbox One — including  Xbox and Xbox 360 titles  — will work on the new consoles on launch day, Xbox’s director of program management Jason Ronald  wrote in a tweet .  The only exceptions are titles that require Kinect. Those games were always going to be on the chopping block as the motion-sensing peripheral, which debuted  10 years ago next week , won’t work with Series X and S.  Engadget 

PlayStation VR fans will be able to continue their virtual adventures even after upgrading to the next generation of console, Sony announced on Wednesday. The company is  offering PSVR owners a free camera adapter  for use with their PS5 when it arrives on November 12th. As  the company previously stated , the entire PSVR accessory menagerie will  be compatible with the PS5 , however the camera will need that special adapter. In order to get it, you’ll need to have the serial number from the PSVR processor handy, as well as your personal and shipping information. Then, head to  the adapter request page  Sony has set up, confirm you’re not a bot and fill out the form. The adapter is expected to start shipping to North America and Europe in mid-November and should take two weeks to arrive, the company estimates. Engadget 

Tesla has taken another bruising for the  quality of its driver assistance tech .  Consumer Reports  has  conducted  (via  Reuters ) a driver assistance study where Tesla’s Autopilot placed a “distant second” to  GM’s Super Cruise , with a Model Y scoring 57 versus the Cadillac CT6’s 69. The key,  CR ’s Kelly Funkhouser said, was the Cadillac’s infrared camera to ensure your eyes are focused on the road — it’ll deliver multiple warnings if you appear to be distracted. The publication also found that Super Cruise was better at notifying drivers when it was about to disengage. GM’s tech not only provides a clear visual alert, but uses pre-mapped road info to notify commuters in advance that they’ll have to resume control. Tesla’s approach delivers either a loud alert or a subtle icon change when Autopilot disengages, and it’s frequently an abrupt cutoff. It wasn’t a clear-cut victory. GM’s system tended to discourage taking over, and Tesla had clear advantages in ease of use.

  The   iPhone 12   may have a serious design flaw.  Unlike last year's  iPhone 11 , Apple's new phones don't have rounded edges. The NFL season has been up and down for Browns player Odell Beckham Jr. Previously, the player was out sick for a few games. Now, it has been revealed that he has a torn ACL in his left knee. The news was confirmed after Beckham got an MRI on Monday morning. The injury went down while Beckham was trying to chase a defender after Bake Mayfield interception. Baker Mayfield expressed remorse while speaking on Beckham and the interception. He said “I'm probably going to beat myself up about that one for a long time. The video also reveals what he was working on when he posted a picture of the DualSense 5 controller to his Instagram last month. It also features a number of people who worked on the PlayStation 5, and includes a shot of Travis Scott in some previously-unseen Nike Dunk Lows with a slick reverse swoosh to go with the PlayStation logo.   DoorDash is no stranger to offering   help to restaurants , but now it’s taking a direct stake in their success. The   San Francisco Chronicle   reports   (via   The Verge ) that DoorDash is investing in Burma Bites, a spin-off restaurant of Oakland’s Burma Superstar that’s due to open October 28th. The team-up, a first for DoorDash, will unsurprisingly focus on delivery and takeout of items from Superstar. It’s not certain how much money DoorDash is investing. Burma Bites was supposed to open in March, but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the opening. DoorDash told  The Verge  it had been working on the alliance for a year. The company is clear about the motivations. Regional partnerships leader Georgie Thomas said this was about “empowering restaurants” to help them reach more customers and generate money.
