Congressman Matt Gaetz Under Investigation for Sex with Teen Girl

Image
According to the New York Times, GOP Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida is under investigation for a possible sexual relationship with an underage girl  Gaetz is part of a larger inquiry into a sex-trafficking ring allegedly headed by former Florida tax collector Joel Greenberg. The investigation into Gaetz is trying to uncover whether he had sex with a 17-year-old girl and if he paid to have her travel with him. If this is the case, it is in clear violation of sex-trafficking laws, which state it is “illegal to induce someone under 18 to travel over state lines to engage in sex in exchange for money or something of value.” “I only know that it has to do with women,” the congressman said while addressing the matter to reporters. “I have a suspicion that someone is trying to recategorize my generosity to ex-girlfriends as something more untoward.” He also took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to address the report of the investigation. "Over the past several weeks my family

Blake Griffin Says He Was Trashed for 2 Years, Now It's 'Not Fair' He's in Brooklyn

Image
The Brooklyn Nets have officially become the league's most polarizing franchise after their 2020-21 transactions. Beginning with the deal that landed James Harden, the Nets front office has since acquired Blake Griffin, and most recently, LaMarcus Aldridge.  Many have called out the Nets for stacking the deck by essentially creating an arms race between them and the Lakers. But Blake Griffin recently pointed out how not too long ago he was considered washed up. Now that he's a member of the Nets, those criticisms come from the opposite side of the argument.  "It's kind of funny to me, because for the last couple years, all I've heard is how bad I am," said Griffin. "You sign with this team, and everybody's like, 'That's not fair!'" "It's just kind of crazy how it all comes together," he continued. "In the beginning of the season, if you'd said that James and LaMarcus and I would end up with the Nets

Nike Denies Any Involvement in Lil Nas X's Air Max 97 Sneaker

Image
Nick Young previously took to Twitter to call out Lil Nas X for his latest song and video, “MONTERO,” noting that his kids won’t be listening to any of the music the artist puts out, due to the nature of the imagery seen in his new video. Along with that, a Nike collaboration with Lil Nas X and MSCHF was teased—an Air Max 97 that reportedly features a single drop of blood on them. Young called out Nike for the upcoming release as well. Since then, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has called the artist and his sneaker out, saying it is corrupting the “God-given eternal soul” of kids. Seemingly feeling the heat rising from critics over the sneaker, Nike jumped into the conversation to deliver some words of their own related to the “collaboration.” Via a statement they released, Nike said “We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF. Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.” source:  NBC News

Utah Governor Signs Bill Requiring Cell Phones Sold in State Have Porn Filters

Image
According to reports, Utah Governor Spencer Cox signed a controversial bill into law on Tuesday requiring cell phones and tablets sold in the state to come equipped with porn blocking filters.  The bill has gained support from those who believe this is a preventative measure to help parents monitor what type of content their children can engage online. On the flip side, this bill does much to infringe upon people's First Amendment rights. To get around those sticky constitutional issues, Rep. Susan Pulishper, the bill's co-sponsor, said that parents could elect to deactivate the filter. The Michigan-based group behind the legislation just passed in Utah is currently working toward getting similar legislation passed in its home state.  Source:  apnews.com

Lawmakers Reportedly Move to Stop Creditors From Taking Stimulus Checks

The Biden administration has made it clear that stimulus checks will be going out, as soon as this weekend. While the news has gotten positive responses, there have also been looming concerns about debt collectors taking people’s stimulus checks. Now, lawmakers are reportedly moving to stop the action of people’s stimulus check being taken. A spokesperson for Senator Ron Wyden issued a statement on the matter, saying a plan is being introduced that can protect stimulus check payments from being garnished as soon as this week. It was noted that if a corporation has a judgment against the person in debt which allows their bank account to be garnished, their stimulus check may not be exempt from being taken. As of now, people have begun receiving their $1,400 stimulus check despite the pending drop for this weekend.  source:  Fortune

"At the time, I didn't fully understand what was missing from that relationship, but I did know that my partner loved me  despite  my weird wildness, while I yearned to be with someone who loved me  because  of it." Once she was single, she described exploring her sexuality and "immediately began to make up for lost time" by having enough sex to break her stainle
