Samsung's 6-inch Galaxy Mega 2 launches on AT&T this week

Released not long ago in a few Asian markets, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2is officially coming to the US. AT&T today announced that it would sell the new Mega later this week, starting October 24.

AT&T will offer customers various ways to pay for the Mega 2. You can get the handset for $149.99 with a 2-year contract agreement, or for $474.99 outright. Moreover, the device is available for $19.80 per month with AT&T Next 18, and for $23.75 per month with AT&T Next 12. 

Coming as the successor to last year’s 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega(which is now out of stock at AT&T), the Galaxy Mega 2 is slightly smaller, sporting a 6-inch 720p display. The handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI (including stuff like one-handed operation, dual window, Private Mode, and Ultra Power Saving mode). Other features: LTE connectivity, 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.1 MP front-facing camera, quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of expandable internal memory. The device is 0.34 inches (8.6 mm) thin, and comes with a 2800 mAh battery.
