Carmelo Anthony Threatened to Fight Tim Hardaway, Jr. After Loss
It seems that the Knicks nine-game losing streak is wearing on the minds of some of the team's players, as ESPN's Chris Broussard reports that the team is losing faith in the team's president Phil Jackson and first year head coach Derek Fisher's plan for recovery.
Reportedly, Carmelo Anthony is one of the most frustrated players on the team, almost getting into a physical altercation last Tuesday with teammate Tim Hardaway, Jr. According to Broussard's report, Hardaway Jr. yelled "Get the rebound!" to Carmelo towards the end of the Knicks vs. Nets game on Dec 2nd. Carmelo responded by cursing at Hardaway Jr. and threatened to fight him in the Knicks locker room after the game. The two never exchanged blows, but Broussard went on to report that the team is near shambles.
"Nobody's taken a swing at anybody," a source told Broussard, "but there's a lot of arguing and cursing each other out after games."
