After one year of coaching The Brooklyn Nets reports have surfaced that former NBA player Jason Kidd will step down from the position.

According to the New York Times, Kidd is prepared to leave the Nets after he was denied a larger position with the team. Instead of giving the coach a position that will have him head of the team's basketball operations, NBA officials gave him the ok to interview with the Milwaukee Bucks for another coaching position.

Kidd has three years left on his $10.5 million dollar contract with the team, but the two teams are currently in talks to release the 41-year-old from hs contract.
