According to Brian Windhorst, sportswriter for ESPN, King James made some big money when Dr. Dre sold Beats Electronics to Apple. Due to him owning a small stake in the company, the NBA star made a cool and quiet $30 million off of the sale. Sports Business Analyst for ESPN, Darren Rovell, is reporting that this may be the largest payout in history for an athlete.
Apparently, making "only" $19 mil per year as a player on the Heat is not so bad after all when you can cash in almost double that amount with one outside business venture.
