Parents Snitch on 13-Year-Old Daughter for Sending Nude Pics

A pair of Virginia parents went the extra mile when they recently found their 13-year-old daughter sending nude photos to her classmates. 

After discovering a number of nude photos and explicit messages on their daughter's cell phone and tablet, the parents not only took away her electronics -- they called the police. 

When Sheriffs investigated they discovered that a number of the boys she was sexting with were high school seniors around the ages of 17 and 18. 

Was this a good call on the parents part? Or is this an offense that should be handled inside the home by the parents without subjecting their child to a criminal record?
