St. Louis Rams Cut First Openly Gay Player Michael Sam

Michael Sam has been cut from the St. Louis Rams.

According to BuzzFeed, the NFL's first openly gay player was released from the team Saturday at 4 p.m. in an effort to trim down the team's roster.

The Rams picked up the seventh-round draft pick in May.

The player has 24 hours to sign with another team.
