Westland mom charged for leaving young kids alone

Brittany Little, a 22-year-old woman from Westland, is facing child abuse charges after she left her young kids alone for hours.

Police found a four-year-old boy wandering outside wearing only his underwear and an infant inside Little's apartment. Both children were taken to Garden City Hospital and turned over to Child Protective Services, which gave them to their grandmother.

Little told police she had left the kids alone for seven hours while she went to school. Police said Little told them she left the kids alone for four hours the previous day.

Little was arrested pending charges and entered a not guilty plea.
