Android exclusive: Hulu to stream free current episodes of some shows for the holidays

If you like to use your Android handset or tablet to watch your favorite television shows, Hulu will indulge you this holiday season by streaming to you current season episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Modern Family, Sleepy Hollow, South Park and many more, for free. And for the kids, they will be able to catch up with shows they like to watch such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Caillou and Pokémon.

Of course, Hulu wants you to eventually upgrade to Hulu Plus, which includes 100,000 episodes of current and classic television series. That service will cost you $7.99 each month. By giving you some current shows for free over the holidays, Hulu is giving you a taste of their paid service and hoping that you get hooked. To see the free shows, you will have to install the Hulu app from the Google Play Store, which is certainly a clever way to get more Android users to put Hulu on their phone or tablet. Once that task is completed, all of those Android users taking Hulu up on this offer, are just a click away from becoming paid Hulu Plus subscribers.

The "Share the Joy of the Seasons" promotion will allow you to watch some episodes the day after they are originally aired in the United States. Hulu doesn't mention precisely when the promotion will end, but if you and your family love the current fare that runs on network television, why not download the Hulu app now? By the way, if you have an iOS or Windows Phone flavored device, don't even think about taking Hulu up on this offer. The promotion is an Android exclusive.
