The D.O.C. Reveals He's Regained His Voice After Tragic Accident

The D.O.C. has ghostwritten for the likes of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg after his own rap career was cut short after his vocal chords were crushed in a 1989 car accident that was covered in "Straight Outta Compton." After putting out only one album, No One Can Do It Better, it seems that The D.O.C. could make a return to music after gaining back his voice.

After a recent appearance on Sirius XM's "From The Press Box to Press Row," The D.O.C. started interacting with curious fans on Twitter. He then revealed that he got his voice back after spending time in jail in 2010 for a third drinking and driving offense.

He wrote, "It came back on its own. Had it almost a year. Came back while I was locked up. Why finally speak now? Why not."
