VA Shooter Bryce Williams Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound

Former on-air personality, Bryce Williams, has succumbed to his self-inflicted injuries following this morning's high-profile shooting.

Williams - born Vester Lee Flanagan II -recorded himself opening fire on 24-year old reporter. Alison Parker, 27-year old cameraman, Adam Ward, and a third victim named Vicki Gardner this morning at 6.45 a.m. According to several sources, Bryce targeted his former WDBJ7 coworkers after being fired a couple of years back from the news station. "Two years ago, we had to separate him from the company. We did understand that he was still living in the area," WDBJ General Manager Jeff Marks told CNN. Bryce had previously made claims via Facebook and Twitter regarding racist encounters with his colleagues, including the slain Parker. Ward and Parker died on the scene as Gardner was taken to a nearby hospital - she's currently listed in stable condition.

Virginia State Police reportedly saw the suspect's car heading east on Interstate 66 around 11:30 a.m. According to tweets by WDBJ7, "a deputy attempted to stop Flanagan" from speeding off but he refused, ran off the road and crashed. Once troopers surround the vehicle they found Flanagan had shot himself. He was pronounced dead at 1:30pm. at Fairfax Inova Hospital.

ABC News tweeted about a 23-page fax they received "from someone who says he is Bryce Williams." They have since turned it over to authorities.
