MA Woman Who Won $759 Mil Jackpot Gives Press Conference, Quits Job

After it was announced that a winning ticket was issued for the huge $758.7 million Powerball jackpot, it was only a matter of time before the actual winner came forward to claim their prize. Now, a 53-year-old woman named Mavis Wanczyk has made it known that she is the winner of the massive jackpot. Wanczyk is a resident of Chicopee, Massachusetts—the place where the winning ticket was issued.
A press conference was held for the woman, where she spoke on her feelings of winning. She said she thought “It’s never gonna be me. It’s just a pipe dream I’ve always had.” The woman wasted no time clearing space to just relax, as she made it know that she quit her job at the Marcy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Wanczyk told the press, “The first thing I want to do is, I just want to sit back and relax.”
