T.I. Blasts Joel Osteen for Not Initially Opening Church to Hurricane Victims
Not even a day ago, Pastor Joel Osteen was under fire for not opening up his church doors to those that were affected by Hurricane Harvey. He used the excuse the church was flooded but many didn't quite believe what Osteen was saying.
Now, finally, Osteen has opened up the doors to those that need shelter. "Victoria and I care deeply about our fellow Houstonians. Lakewood's doors are open and we are receiving anyone who needs shelter," Osteen tweeted on Tuesday.
But this offer seemed a little too late for some including T.I. The rapper took to Instagram to say exactly how he was feeling about the situation and he didn't hold back:
"This is why people (like me) don't trust the mega churches. How can someone (especially a so called man of God) make 70+Ms a yr TAX FREE from citizens of a city that's now in distress & in dyer need of food water & shelter NOT OPEN THE DOORS OF GODs HOUSE (supposedly) to help those in need? @joelosteen YOU SIR ARE A FRAUD!!!!"
You can read the rest of the message above but it's clear that T.I. is not happy about this situation.
