Elon Musk Reveals Detailed Version of Hyperloop System
Elon Musk to updated followers on the developments of his vision for the future of transportation.
The Boring Company's decision to upgrade the lives of pedestrians and commuters have had many excited. The bold task of creating a shorter traveling time between Washington D.C. and New York City with a futuristic twist has been an event many can't wait to see. Thankfully, the CEO and Tesla product architect tweeted a rough peek at what we can expect the Hyperloop car and tunnels may look like.
A video shows a transparent Hyperloop car being boarded on the ground level before submerging into the underground roadway. It, then, zips through its own lane passing other cars and eventually merges into an aligning lane. The travel time is expected to be deducted when the car reaches a speed of 201 km/h getting passengers to the destination in a half hour.
Musk explained through a series of tweets how he prioritizes which demographic of commuters will be focused on during the design process.
"Will still transport cars, but only after all personalized mass transit needs are met. It’s a matter of courtesy & fairness. If someone can’t afford a car, they should go first."
He also went on to detail the importance of making sure the loop system stays as convenient as possible for the people, rather than the cars.
"Boring Co urban loop system would have 1000’s of small stations the size of a single parking space that take you very close to your destination & blend seamlessly into the fabric of a city, rather than a small number of big stations like a subway." See the video here
