Obama in Negotiations with Netflix About Producing New Series

Although Barack Obama may no longer be the president of the US, his perspective on the world continues to be a guiding light for Americans across the nation.
As first reported by The New York Times, former president Barack Obama may be entering into a deal with Netflix to produce content for the streaming service. The number of episodes and the format of the shows have yet to be decided. Times continued on to suggest two different formats that Netflix might follow for the Obama deal. One idea is that "Mr. Obama could moderate conversations on topics that dominated his presidency." Another idea is that Michelle Obama could speak about "topics, like nutrition, that she championed in the White House."
A senior advisor to Obama, Eric Schultz, stated that the Obamas, "have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire," and that the Obamas "continue to explore new ways to help others tell and share their stories." He continued on to state, "Throughout their lives, they have lifted up stories of people whose efforts to make a difference are quietly changing the world for the better. As they consider their future personal plans, they continue to explore new ways to help others tell and share their stories."
Netflix has declined to comment on the deal.
