Star Wars 'Solo' Writer Confirms that Lando Calrissian Character is Bisexual

LGBTQ characters have been noticeably absent, at least up front in the "Star Wars" saga. Until 2018, there had been no queer representation in the George Lucas-created universe, that is until "Solo: A Star Wars Story".
The film centers around the story of Han Solo, played by Alden Ehrenreich, Chewbacca, played by Joonas Suotamo, and Lando Calrissian, played by Donald Glover. "Solo" provides that backstory to the famed ship, the Millennium Falcon with new details that redefine some of its characters: including that Lando is pansexual.
Lando's preferences in the film range from men, women, to droids, which are discussed across the dialogue of the movie in some of the lines. The banter between Solo and Lando is read as a flirtatious one, even Lando's droid L3-37 jokes about Lando teasing Han in the latest installment of the galactic saga.
In the previous films, Lando's attraction to women is displayed when he mentions to Princess Leia that she looks "perfectly beautiful"; however, his sexuality has never been explicitly expressed on any of the films until now.
When writer Jonathan Kasdan was interviewed by MSN Entertainment writer, Bill Bradley, he confirmed the idea of Lando being pansexual by answering the question with an "I would say yes".
