Harvey Weinstein Facing Life in Prison as 3 New Sexual Assault Charges Surface
Harvey Weinstein, disgraced Hollywood executive, is staring down 3 new sexual assault charges dating back to 2006 that could land him in prison for life. Cyrus Vance Jr., Manhattan District Attorney, announced the new charges on Monday which include first-degree criminal sexual act and 2 counts of predatory sexual assault. The charges carry a minimum of 10-years to life.
Weinstein's attorney Ben Brafman issued a statement on Monday in response to the new charges that read,
"Mr. Weinstein maintains that all of these allegations are false and he expects to be fully vindicated. Furthermore to charge Mr. Weinstein as a Predator when the interactions were each consensual is simply not justified."
