Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' No Longer The Biggest-Selling Album in US

The RIAA recently dropped news that Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ is no longer the biggest selling album in the history of the United States.

The Eagles, known for their song “Hotel California” have reportedly surpassed the ‘Thriller’ album sales with their ‘Greatest Hits 1971-1975’ album. The RIAA noted the record is now 38-times platinum, which is made up of combined album sales and streaming on various platforms.

Drummer Don Henley spoke on the news, saying “We are grateful for our families, our management, our crew, the people at radio and, most of all, the loyal fans who have stuck with us through the ups and downs of 46 years. It’s been quite a ride.”
